Saving Planet Earth (David Attenborough)
It's a starter episode about how humans are damaging the Earth. It sounds like hippy crap but it shows how amazing the Earth is. I often forget what goes on in the world outside the man-made parts of South England. I enjoy walking the dogs in the woods because it's the nearest I can get to a "wilderness" which is what they were talking about in this episode, how the Earth's wildernesses are diminishing. Humans have altered over 70% of the Earth's land.
I didn't realise David Attenborough is 80 years old! And still presenting nature programmes.
This turned hippy crap last night. They had a gay pop singer in the jungle with some gorillas crying about how magnificent they are. Then they had people holding some polaroid style pictures of a gorilla's face while they stared into the camera. I have no idea what point they were trying to make. But after that they went into "Give us money" mode.
The preview for tonight's show was a news reader being attacked by a tiger. It had better be good.
