I just watched the first episode of Fringe...holy s**t
Yea...it's a really good show. Watched it last Tuesday. I am excited for this Tuesday.
There are 3 shows I'm curently watching on TV (I normally don't watch much TV at all.)
Entourage
The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Fringe
(All 3 I have seen every episode ever made....granted Fringe is only on Episode 1)

I'm hooked on
Dragon Ball Z
again. It was one of my favorites when I was younger, and having seen some of the uncut version so I always knew I was missing something. The current DVD release is astounding... with new dubs, audio edits, and a wide aspect amounting to what feels like a 291 episode animated film! Of course, action is the main attraction (hey, that rhymes) and once more, lack of syndicated television censorship totals to blood and other surprises. I'm only halfway through the Namek saga so I've got a ways to go yet, not to mention the dozen plus feature films.

Awesome, I used to love Dragon Ball Z episodes on TV!
I do find them going much too slow for my tastes though. The Frieza saga used to take forever
It takes Goku atleast two episodes to throw the Spirit Bomb, it's rediculous. Oh, and the TV channel I used to watch them on only aired until the Cell games saga and then started over...I don't know why but it was so annoying
Have you seen
this
video I posted up a few days ago? (the second one) If you like anime (and certainly if you like DBZ) you'll laugh your ass off

Watched the Vikes choke away another one yesterday. It was nice that they kept up with the tradition of Minnesota sports, put forth by the Twins (and to a certain point, the Timberwolves): Get a lead early, hold it for most of the game, then blow it late. It's almost comforting at this point.

watched last night...
Disney's Saludos Amigos / The Three Caballeros: Classic Caballeros Collection
- (1942) (1944) - D-
Reason for score -- i wouldn't call this a disney classic by any means
watched tonight...
Salò, Or The 120 Days Of Sodom: The Criterion Collection (Remastered Reissue)
- (1975) - A
Reason for score -- if you look past the disgusting and horrific parts, this movie has a crazy impressive message (yes, i've seen this before as well....)

Saw tonight:
The Birds
- (1963) - B+
A Hitchcock classic. Not a film that would end up as one of my favorites but it's clear to see what an effect this must've had in 1963.

In the middle of Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I'm trying to work out if this is better or worse than House Of The Dead. Maybe it just has a bigger budget.

Broken Flowers
- (2005) - A
A great and honest movie with Bill Murray. I enjoy films like this. Not too much drama, not too much comedy. It reminded me of Lost in Translation, but that's probably just because of Murray's typical "sit and stare" face.
Memoirs of a Geisha
- (2005) - B
I missed the first half hour because Broken Flowers wasn't finished yet. The film was nice, not too much things that bothered me; I wasn't blown away either. It got aweful reviews scoring 35% (rotten) at rottentomatoes. Maybe these reviewers are comparing to the book (which I didn't read) because I don't really saw what was so bad about it.

Wings: Eclipse Series 11: Larisa Shepitko: The Criterion Collection
- (1966) - A
Reason for score -- a fantastic film by an highly unknown director....
The Ascent: Eclipse Series 11: Larisa Shepitko: The Criterion Collection
- (1979) - A
Reason for score -- shepitko was a fantastic director....too bad her life ended so early and tragically....her contributions to film were fantastic

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
- (2001) - B+
It's fun, but kind of silly seeing the main cast is so small compared to how they are now. I really should watch the 4th and 5th movie one of these days...
The Odd Couple II
- (1998) - B
A couple of great laughs but nothing special overal. Wow, this is only a 1998 film and both Jack Lemmon and Walther Matthau are dead I see just now on Wikipedia. That's kind of scary.

Reason for score -- as others have said about this film.....it wasn't the best film ever, but it was a good, solid film none the less
