Although it was entertaining I wish they did some more car reviews and less nonsense. I realise they only review sport or semi-sport cars but reviews of some cheaper cars would be nice.

That's what 5th Gear is for. Wink

I see. I'm not that familiar with both of them. Top Gear is airing on a Dutch channel since maybe a month or three. I've never actually seen 5th Gear but I'll look into it on YouTube. Thanks Smiley

Saw this documetary about the attack on the WTC. Pretty impressive I must say. It was with actors and they recreated whole floors of it to show how the conditions must have been. There were also testamonials of people who survived it and of family members of those that didn't. Instead of giving a more overal picture, the documetary followed a couple of groups that had some more "spectacular" escapes, etc...

There was this group of three that was really shocking, actually. They had to go down about half the tower. (from the 55th floor I think) There was this rather fat guy Victor, another guy Harry and this asian guy Huong (I'm not sure about the spelling) Well the two guys that were somewhat in shape really had to help this Victor alot, he'd need alot of breaks between running down flights of stairs, etc...
They got down to like the 35th floor where they met with firefighters going upwards (sadly enough). The firefighters saw how this Victor was holding the other two guys up and told them to go down. Huong did and got out of the tower literally minutes (maybe ten or so) before the tower collapsed while Harry stayed with Victor and died.
It's a sad story but at some point you have to think of your own family and friends, you know. Helping others is good but having it lead to your own death is another thing. That Harry can be considered a hero for staying behind with Victor but what comfort gives that to Harry's family, knowing he'd could've gotten out with Huong?

Besides from the documentary I find the whole skyscraper idea scary. I'm not afraid of heights but being at like the 87th floor or something is really a scary thought. There really isn't a quick way to get out when you need to take the stairs. They mentioned that it takes 50min to go all the way up to the highest floor by stairs. That's insane! 50min...
Going down is probably a bit easier but even when you're running for your life, aren't obstructed by anything and are in good condition I think it'd still take 30-35min to get down and that's still much too long to be safe.

watched last night....

Lie With Me - (2005) - C

Reason for score -- much less an erotic drama and much more like a hardcore porno with no story

The House Bunny - (2008) - F

Reason for score -- i think burning my free tickets would have been a better way to use them....while there were some funny points, it was still pretty terrible.....

Ouch, seems like pretty much anything else would've been better than that Sad

Wasn't there a cartoon or chick flick you could go see?
