Last night I watched Juno - Bleh. Too much like Napoleon Dynamite, although Juno was better.

Really? I didn't think it was anything like Napoleon Dynamite. Can't really see how you'd think that.

Then I watched the newish Rocky. Halfway through I couldn't remember what the story was, so I decided it didn't have a story. Afterwards it became aparent it was a 5 minute story padded out with lots of shooting and explosions. Luckily, Stallone didn't have many lines because he's a grunt.

Hardened war veteran tries to make an honest living. Mercenaries apear and ask "the best" guy for the job to take them into a war zone. The blonde woman finally pursuades him to do it. They get attacked. Hardened war veteran takes soldiers in to recover the mercenaries. Hardened war veteran saves everybody.
The End.
PS. Some people died.

You mean Rambo?

watched yesterday...

Shock Corridor:  The Criterion Collection - (1963) - A

Reason for score -- amazing movie; plus, it was all the more interesting for me since I have a Master's degree in Psychology

Yesterdayevening I saw:

Miami Vice (2006) - B

I gave it a B because it was what I expected it to be. Entertaining action with a doubtful plot. Not all movies have to be masterpieces Wink

I started watching Six Feet Under recently. I'm through the first 5 or 6 episodes. I really, really like it.

Watched:

Ratatouille - (2007) - A+

I give it an A+ for being a very good and fun movie to watch. I think this is even better than the average Pixar movie, so that's saying alot. The animation was A-ma-zing...the best I've ever seen. If I compare this to A bug's Life (nice, too) you can see Pixar has come a long way.

Now I'm excited for Wall-E... Tongue Maybe I should go watch it in the cinema.

The Naked Kiss:  The Criterion Collection - (1964) - B

Reason for score -- just average....was hoping it would be as good as Shock Corridor, but it just wasn't that amazing....

We were gonna go see Pineapple Express but it was sold out. Instead we watched milkshakes at the local Steak and Shizzle.

Also watched almost the entire first season of Californication last night. It is also quite good.
