So I'm supposed to be working on the short story that's due tomorrow, and as such wandering all over the internet for inspiration.

I found this http://www.thememoryhole....ths/texas-final-meals.htm

Which is a list of all the last meals of executed men in Texas.

Made me wonder what you'd choose. Will take me a while to think of something; but I will.

In the spirit of that list:

1 pound Donair and a Dr Pepper.

Otherwise:

1 pound Donair, a Cuban cigar and a couple cases of beer while I watch Good, Bad, Ugly.

Donair looks interesting. Canadian Gyro meat?

Water from the fountain of youth.

Though I don't imagine that exists in Texas prison, so I'd settle for beef roast with coffee gravy with a vanilla milkshake and a new york cheese cake with raspberry sauce.

They really didn't waste any time during the 2000s...so many executions. I supposed executions became forbidden in 2003?

Some of those inmates really ate a ton of food for their last meal. Tongue

I think I'd go for a nice little steak, with salad and fries. Nothing too special. For drinks I'd want some cocktails, but they probably wouldn't allow that. If not, I'd have red wine. And if that wouldn't be allowed I'd want water.

Spiced Beef instead of lamb or processed meat and topped with "Donair sauce" which we use for garlic finger dip as well but yeah pretty similar. Smiley

There is some pretty good stuff in there.
Both in flavor and hilarity.

I think i'd have to go with pizza(pobably more than one for various specific tastes), med/rare steak, med/rare burger with bacon ketchup mayo. Vodka and coke. Pack of Marbs. (Apparently the give water instead of alcohol and just decline cigs completely)

Sounds real good Tan, I found a recipe online for it. Tongue

As for my meal:

-2 McDonald's Quarterpounders, no cheese, no onion
-A Rare (as in Rare doneness) Tuna Steak seasoned with black pepper
-5 2L Bottles of Pepsi
-10 Lemons
-Lots of French Fries
-Broccoli, and lot's of it!
-2 Gallons of Byer's Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

If I didn't eat for about 2 days, I could honestly finish all of that.

Simple, an all you can eat buffet. That way it technically never has to end as long as there is a toilet near by.

Texas Trivia of the day:
Dr. Pepper is pretty much the official drink of Texas.

I'm really not joking. When i was working at the convenience store Dr. Pepper/Coke/Diet Coke outsold every other softdrink by at minimum a 3 to 1 margin.
Big Red/Sprite is a 4th/5th place tie.

You would have McDonald's as a last meal? Could you not at least ask for a semi-good burger?

I would ask for lots of spicy food and I would have it about six to twelve hours before my execution. Lots of curry. A doner kebab with extra chilli sauce and jalapenos. Something Mexican. Then when I'm dead and my muscles relax, they get to clean everything up.

^ I was thinking the same thing about the McDonald's.. A little puzzling.

I would want:

1 kobe beef gorgonzola burger, cooked medium rare, with lettuce and tomato and a tiny bit of thousand island.

Oven-roasted red potatoes with bacon and mushrooms

A small bacon-wrapped tenderloin, cooked rare, with sauteed mushrooms

Grilled asparagus with lemon

Simply Orange pulp-free orange juice

Breyer's tin roof sundae ice cream

Mickey's bavrian creme pie
