Pretty straight forward question. I am sure many of us come across games in the wild that we just pass up. What system just doesn't bite it for you to collect?

Anything before nintendo i don't bother with. Then the N64, guess because all i ever find is cart only. Also NES, really can't seem to get into them even though i find a lot ranging from $1-$10 (complete being the highest mark)

Pretty much only Xbox for me. There are just so few games on that system that appeal to me. I've left countless cheap Xbox games right where i found them.

I collect N64, but it is by far the most frusterating. I hate getting them loose because they dont have the top label and like you said they are almost always loose.

I don't discriminate between console games, they're all welcome in my collection, even though I rarely play anything before the NES.

However, I do not buy PC games. I just don't like PC gaming at all, so I stay away from the games completely. I do have a few PC games, but they're not in my collection, I just happen to own them. And 99% of those are from before my collecting days anyway.

Nintendo 64, for the same reasons as above (never find CIB).

I rarely buy any classic handheld games (Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Gear, etc). I just never play them.

Lastly, Atari. I have a ton of games already and I never play them. Don't really see the need to add more unless, of course, I know that they are rare.

NES for me. It's hard enough to find games worth buying let alone worth buying that are CIB. Tongue

I don't like buying games for systems I don't have. Otherwise, I don't care about CIB or anything.

I don't buy any xbox games or anything related to computers.  Everything else is fair game and I usually do buy anything else I find.  I also pass sports games just because I don't play them.

There is no system i would completely shy away from purchasing games for.
The systems i tend to not actively seek out now though are:
PC, NES, Genny.

PC has always been something i didn't avidly collect and over the year+ due to availability, condition, price and space issues i have been shying away from cart based in general.

I don't really look into anything above 16-Bit. I stick with Genesis because of the high collectibility and because finding CIB games (and in my case consoles, I scored a CIB Genesis 1 Sonic pack-in for only $15 bucks at Goodwill!) are a doozy.

I have been hit and miss on this one.  As my collecting style has changed so many times.  As for now Anything before Nes is pretty much off limits to me.  I sold my Atari CIB and 60 games a year or so ago.

Also I completely shy away from PC.  Any PC games that I own now are from  before my collecting days.  I pass up CIB PC games all the time at Goodwill. And alot of them seem to be old too.

I agree with the N64 altough I do collect them.  They are hard to find CIB and are a pain in the @$$ to display so that you know what they are.

I find it kind of strange how everyone is mentioning the difficulty of finding N64 games in the box. About 1/3 of my N64 game boxes don't actually have the game in them, I've found the box but not the game. And if I compare the N64 to the NES and SNES I probably have a higher ratio of boxed/empty boxes to loose games for the N64 than the NES or SNES.

I had the exact opposite problem. I had an ever expanding collection of games and no system to play them on for almost a year.

Since im more into playing than pure collecting, games being CIB isnt really that important to me. PC games i dont really collect they just seem to well...be here.
Ive never really gotten passed the Genesis vs SNES days so I dont worry about NES/SNES stuff.
And finally im not big into handhelds so unless its a great find I dont bother.
Other than that everythings fair game..lol
