11. Timesplitters Future Perfect
OMG, I love that game! I've made quite a few maps for it. Still do pump out some new ones on occasion. Loved the campaign, it's hilarious! Smiley
Yeah! It's all the hilarious cutscenes that I love so much Smiley

My current avatar is of the game, actually Smiley

Personally I found Timesplitters 2 to be better than it in every way imaginable. Great game though. But Timesplitters 2 is so close to perfect it's unreal. And I 100%ed Timesplitters 2 and in most 5 minute vs matches against the hardest computers (max amount) I win by roughly 25-30 kills every time (you can ask Trader Jake/Evil Leon). No idea why I'm so good at the game.

I'm not so familiar with Timesplitters 2 (only played the demo) I heard from people that the challanges in Timesplitters 2 are generally harder than in FP.

Is the story of Timesplitters 2 any good? And is it as cut-scene intense as FP? Because then I should definately check it out nod

In my opinion we're just splitting hairs here though. The Timesplitters series as a whole is masterful compared to the average Haze. It's sad that Free Radical seems to be heading downhill because they produced some of the best (if not the best with Goldeneye) FPS games on consoles.

Oh man, you haven't played Timesplitters 2? It is sooooo much better than Future Perfect. Future Perfect's story mode plays out kinda Rambo like and is insanely easy even on expert. Timesplitters 2 is insanely difficult. It plays way more like Goldeneye and on expert you absolutely 100% must use stealth, formulate a course of action, and for the parts where you can't necessarily use stealth you absolutely must know where to duck and take cover.

It's so hard that about 90% of players won't beat the first level on expert and those that do will have spent hours upon hours just getting to the checkpoint. And of course it isn't the hardest level, that honor goes to the hell of videogames known as Robot Factory. I literally spent 5 hours straight playing that level without dying before I beat it. So much stealth and careful thinking it's insane.

The story isn't really cinematic driven but it's good. The single player gameplay though is the absolute best in any mission based first person shooter I've played. And the multiplayer maps are better than Future Perfect IMO.

Oooh, you're making me curious. I've only played that Waterdam level, thought it was cool, but easy. (Comparable to FP, I thought) I'm definately going to look for it.

What do you think of Haze? Have you played it?

Haven't played Haze, don't have a PS3. And the first level is the Dam. Play it on hard and I guarantee you won't be saying it is easy, and I can almost guarantee you won't be beating it until you've had countless hours of practice. The level is just that hard. I've never played a harder FPS honestly (besides maybe Perfect Dark on Perfect Agent, but I didn't have the patience then like I do now).

Oh and if you try and run in without sniping/careful duck and firing, you won't come close to actually entering the Dam, let alone opening it.

So what are you saying then?

Is: Hard on TS:FP = Easy on TS2 Huh
Or: Hard on TS:FP = Normal on TS2?

I did beat FP on Hard...but if that's nothing compared to TS2...then TS2 is super hard Shocked

Either way, I gotta have it now Smiley

Hard on TP FP is roughly Normal on TS2. Robot Factory on TS2 normal mode is much harder than anything in FP's single player. And hard on TS2 is just insane. Some you'll be able to manage on a few tries, but others are just nuts.

Okay, thanks Smiley

The way you describe it, some levels must be insane though. I'll probably end up playing the campaign on normal and doing only the easier levels on hard Tongue Having to play days and days for a single level is a bit over the top for me.

I'm definately looking forward to it though nod
