Fun, simple little question. What are your favorite videogames in general?

For me... it goes something like this.

1. Super Metroid
*not in order anymore
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Super Mario Brothers 3
Shadow Hearts Covenant
Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner
Dawn of Sorrow
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy X
Time Splitters 2
Windwaker

Favorite series is probably Metroidvana. I love every single one of those. Can't really say that with any other series. Runner up is probably Mario platformers.

Ah, too many to count. I'll just list some great series.

Some favs include Final Fantasy, Tales, Lunar, Contra, Kirby, Zelda, Spyro [very underlooked!!], and Resident Evil.

Ratchet & Clank
Gran Turismo
Ridge Racer, until number 7 which has totally lost the appeal
Tomb Raider, but not Angel of Darkness obviously
Sonic the Hedgehog, 2D style
Metal Gear Solid

I can't really choose which are my favorite, but I know what my favorites are for genre:

RPG: Mother (Earthbound)
FPS: Half Life
Platformer: Megaman (Is it platformer or run 'n' gun?)
RTS: Either Command & Counqer or Civilization
Sports: Blades of Steel (Mostly the NES one)

That's all I can think of right now.

Chosen because I enjoy every game in each of these series:

Ace Combat series
BioWare RPGs
Colin McRae Rally series
Doom series
Elder Scrolls series
Gran Turismo series
Guitar Hero series
Splinter Cell series

Also anything based on Forgotten Realms which includes Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Demon Stone and Icewind Dale. Smiley

8. Metal Gear Solid series
9. Grand Theft Auto series (starting from III, don't really like the top-down ones, although they're not bad games)

11. Timesplitters Future Perfect

The last 5-6 are really interchangeable, just wrote them down how they popped into my head Smiley

my four favorite games are:

1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2. Starcraft
3. Mass Effect
4. X-com UFO Defense

After those four it gets pretty hard to put them in order of my favorites.
