Can anyone give me ANY info at all on an Exertainment Life Cycle Bike w/ built in Monitor and MBR/Speed Racer games? The only stuff I can find online references to the bike setup with no monitor. It looks very much like this:

Yeah, Evan as SNESCentral did a good write-up on it.

That really is one hell of a find if you can get them to sell it. I agree with the others, go in at $100. The mere fact that you'll get it out of there maybe enough for them to give it to you!

The problem now is you have shown way too much interest in it. You're going to need to play off the picture taking as getting an idea of size to show your wife, so she can give you the ok to put it in your house.

I'm semi friendly with the owner of the gym and only asked the casual counter girl about pics. So unless she found it incredibly weird enough to mention I'm in the clear. Besides its not like he can easily look up a price point on it online either. Worst case senario he'll probably just price it as any bike of the same age.

Crabby, you DO realize that the combo cart's inside that as well, right? The INCREDIBLY RARE combo cart?
I would fly to Canada to pick that up with $500 in hand, and try to work them from $100 up.
If you get it, make sure to take pictures for us for the site. It looks like it was well maintained.
EDIT: In case anyone else hasn't gotten the gravity of the find, the cartridge that's in the bike is rarer than Stadium Events...by a bit.

I'm not sure if the cart combo is inside or not, thats one of the things I've been trying to find out. There are no nintendo markings on the bike at all so I was under the impression that there was just a board of the game mounted inside the machine.

There's a peripheral that hooks into the Super Nintendo inside, using the expansion port. It relays information from the Super Nintendo to the peripheral, which then relays it to the bike and vice versa. It uses a physical cartridge, not just a board.

I know thats how the home setup works. How are you sure this model wasnt made just for gym use and has different internals?

It's possible, but the Exertainment bikes were primarily marketed for commecial use. The only way you'd know for sure would be to have them open it up. I've seen plenty of LifeFitness bikes, but I've never come across an actual Exertainment bike, so I couldn't tell you.

Regardless I'm gonna talk to the owner soon and see if he's interested in finding it a new home.
