Help me identify this joystick?

Hey folks, got a bit of a mystery on my hands here. I bought this joystick a few months ago and I've been meaning to enter it into the database, but I don't have any information on it.
It's your basic 9 pin 2 button joystick, but seems to have a few features found on other brands. The base is identical to a Wico, it uses mechanical micro-switches (which I love), and has 4 rubber nubs on the bottom to sit on. The scale may not be apparent from the picture, but it's actually much bigger than any of the several dozen similar controllers I own. I have very large hands and this fits me like a glove, it's obviously meant for adults, the spacing between the finger grips are quite wide.
The only marking on it are "Made in Taiwan" and "R.O.C.", both on the bottom. Unfortunately I don't have a box or manual for this, it was just a $.99 thrift store pickup.
Any help in identifying this would be extremely helpful and will allow me to add it to our database.
Thanks,
Keith

It's a Quickshot I joystick (or at the very least, a clone). If you look on Google images for quickshot joystick and skip past the more memorable and very different looking Quickshot II joysticks, you'll see the Quickshot I in there as well dotted around. Hope that helps! I used to play Pitstop II for the Commodore64 with this.

Got a link to the google images you seen? I sifted through 10 pages or so and I didn't see a similar one. I have a couple Quickshot 1's myself similar to this pic I got off google below, but it doesn't look anything like those.
The handle is almost like a bakelite material. I'd almost say it was built from a kit or something, as none of the clones i have or even the brand named ones for that matter match this in performance or build quality.

Ok I can see the design differences now I have them on the same screen. I was wondering if it was a Quickshot I clone. But fair enough, happy hunting...

Thanks for the help though, my quickshot searching led me to a few other handy websites of interest.
I'll also mention that it's a bit heavy as well, it weighs about 360 grams (roughly a little over 3/4 of a pound).

Since you said that the base is identical to the Wico stick, maybe it is a Wico joystick? I had a boxed one a year or two ago that had interchangable sticks...and I think one of the three included looked like the one on yours. I'll have to see if I still have a picture of it saved somewhere.

I had thought of that too. It could very well be. The reason I have doubts is because there are no brand marking anywhere. All my Wico sticks have branding somewhere on them. That and the finish doesn't have the smooth perfect look of a Wico, more like a one-off or prototype. At the same time the build quality as far as performance and durability is superior to any Wico I've used including Bosses and Command Controls.
I wonder if Wico ever made do-it-yourself kits for custom joysticks?
