ok my main goal is now over. i have completed the turbografx-16. i now have every single hucard release including both of the system cards. i just got the last one i needed....... magical chase. cost me over $300. i'll put a picture together in a couple weeks.

a few other notes slightly off the subject.
the reason you guys havent seen me in so long was because there was a devistating blow to my economy and i had to sell just about all of my games just to stay afloat. if any of you remember what my collection used to look like go look at my game list now. you may cry. but through it all i refused to sell any of my turbo grafx stuff. but the pc engine stuff had to go. it was just about the last thing to go. i am not sure if i am going to build it back up or not.

Congrats on the completion, and welcome back.

I hope that everything is going better for you these days and that you got your financial situation all figured out.

Glad to hear your back and hopefully in better shape financially.  I've been wondering where the other Turbo guy was hiding.  Congrats on scoring magical chase.  I'm sitting at 41 TG-16 games right now.  I still have a long way to go.

yeah my financial blow is done and over with. luckily before the holidays.
believe it or not it only took me about a year and a half to complete the tg-16. i did the tg-cd a while back. it may be a low numbered collection but value both monitary and play are throug hthe roof. now on to thos last 15 duo games i have left to get. i cant believe i made it as far as i did. and from watching auctions  all the time for tg stuff i have see nthe prices go up in the past year. also a factor of that is www.tzd.com and their recent pitfall.
buying the magical chase game was my way of rewarding myself for sticking through the crap i had to deal with and still keeping the tg, when many times i was tempted to sell and solve the problem instantly. so glad i didnt sell.
does anyone know approximately how many magical chase were made? is that possible in the gaming world? ive kinda gotten into collecting vinyl lately (yeah den would like to hear that) and a lot of that stuff goes by quantity sometimes.
btw thanks for the welcome back guys.

and on another note i lost about 100 lbs. down to a 40-or-38 inch waist and some xl shirts but mostly 2xl. yay me. i was a fat fattie.

Yeah, I hear you on the financial distress. I am low on money myself  these days. What worries me is that I know if I have to start selling stuff my Turbo Duo will probably be the first to go. It's the only system I have that's really worth anything. I don't think it's going to come to that, but it is something I started to think about a while back.

dude save the TG stuff for extreme circumstances. i may only have just modern consoles left and my prescious TG. but damnit i still got the TG. yeah i miss the other stuff but the true value is in the TG. honestly in my opinion if someone wants to collect a console that will increase in value and rarely decrease..... then the TG is the way to go. id say my collection is up to at least $5,000 for just my TG stuff. also here is a pic of all of the hucards together and the case for magical chase, the holy grail of the TG unless you count duo games then its dynastic hero.

i know. i about busted a nut when i got it in the mail today. i bought it from asemasterautotechnician on ebay. if anyone needs TG stuff, go there to get it. tell him i sent you (ween_rocks: my ebay). he is cool as hell and an excellent business man on all aspects.he has other stuff too so check him out. i have bought from him numerous times and its been awesome every time.
i just palyed it a few seconds ago too. my god that has to be one of the best trippy games for the TG. i love it and its worth every bit of the $325 i spent.
just scored Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra for the Duo for only $150. last time it was on ebay it went for $350.
im going to eventually finish out all the needed images for the TG database too.

I have never really got into the TurboGrafx console/games, but I know they are hard to find in stores outside of the internet.  Congratulations, maybe I should start looking around for them.

I still kick myself daily for not picking up a few spare Turbos when they were $25 at Toys R Us long ago.  We had one but my brother was taking it a friend's house while riding his bike, whoops, he dropped it, busted.

I remember thinking, "I'd buy some spares, but where will I get games?"  (I needed a crystal ball so I could see ebay).

Congrats on the collection, the weight loss, and getting your finances in order and rewarding yourself.
