Hello, I recently got a 50 dollar gift card from work for Walmart. SO OF COURSE, I am going to spend it on video games.  I am looking to buy a Wii game or two. My wal mart had some games for 20.  I was thinking about getting Far Cry and TMNT.

Has anyone played either one of these, and are they worth buying. Any other recommendations would also be appreciatted.

And yes I am considering Zelda.

Thanks,

Alright, here's the best Wii games...

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (Only $30 for a great update of a great game)
Metal Slug Anthology (Very good collection of all 7 Metal Slug games)
Super Paper Mario (One of the funniest games I've played in a while)

Do you have Metroid Prime 3 yet? If not, go pick it up. Also, there is Trauma Center. Plus the games Tondog said.

Far Cry has gotten HORRIBLE ratings.  I wouldn't get that.  TMNT has gotten alright ratings.  The games listed above are good choices.

Wii play is OK.
I'm not overly thrilled with it but hell it comes with a Wii Remote.

Yeah I have:

Wii Play
Wii Sports
Wario Ware
Carnival Games
Cooking Mama

Can you tell that my wife is responsible for buying most of my Wii games. Smiley

I think I am narrowing it down to:

Zelda
Metroid
Super Paper Mario
Resident Evil 4
Ravin Rabbits

I wasn't overly impressed with Wario Ware when it came out.
It was probably due greatly to the fact that i was already investing time in Rayman.

I picked up Res Evil 4 today so i'll be trying that out soon.

Also Metal SLug was great. Definately worth picking up.

Excite Truck is pretty cool.

Rampage Total Destruction is supposed to be alot of fun but i don't have personal experience on that one.

EDIT
The same goes for Trauma Center. I only have the word of my cuz and ex boss on those 2.

Ravaging Rabbids won't last you long.  It's a good game, but really won't get all that much play.

Zelda
Mario Party 8
Metroid
Super Paper Mario
Strikers

Those would be my choices.  Basically, as most Nintendo systems go, anything with the Nintendo name on it is a good bet.

I'm not really a one genre guy. I like to play everything from RPG's to kids' games.  Although I don't really get into heavy intense RPG's b/c I can't stay focused playing one game for hours on end for a week or more.

And MEZMORON I forgot about Strikers. I have been wanting to play the GameCube version ever since it came out. As well as the baseball one with all the Nintendo characters.

It's fun to play with your wife/girlfriend or kids.  Not to sure how much fun it would be playing by yourself or with other guys.

It has all the little games you would find at the Carnival or fair.  Ring toss, Skee ball, etc.

I gotta agree with Metal Slug Anthology.  I picked that up the day it came out, and I still play it for an hour or two at a time.  The only thing I don't like about it is the way you throw your grenades.  You have to "flick" your controller, and on a game like that, you really can't afford to have your hands off the controller EVER.
