shaggy, it's on Arcade. However, it was re-released on CD-i and 3DO.
Thayer's Quest was released to home computers and CD-based consoles titled Kingdom: The Far Reaches, with the characters' names changed (Thayer became Lathan Kandor, Sorsabal became Torlock, etc., because creator Rick Dyer thought the original character and names were "too 70's") and additional animation and puzzles. In 1998 Kingdom II: Shadoan was released, including the final two kingdoms and the final battle with Torlock. In 2005 the original Thayer's Quest was released as a DVD video game by Digital Leisure, Inc. (true to the original Halcyon version) and could be played on an ordinary DVD player using the remote control. Thayer's Quest was also released for the CD-ROM by Digital Leisure.
Do you mean this?

I found this in a box in the basement right after I posted asking about this.. I bought it because I thought it looked cool and looked right up my alley. I see it says Book 1 which means I would have to find Book 2 for the whole story! Unfortunately, I don't think I can play it.
The box says you need a 386 puter and I don't think I can play it on a Win 7 puter. I guess I need to search out the DVD. Is this on any home consoles? Perhaps the 3DO?
