Did a lot of sampling today:
Call of Duty 2 demo
Lost Planet demo (again--I can't wait for this one! I hope it has multiplayer!)
Outpost Kaloki X demo (light, but fun arcade title)
Zuma Deluxe demo
Perfect Dark Zero (tried out the multiplayer with bots, not bad...but duck and roll is a watered-down substitute for jumping)

Some multiplayer system link mayhem at den's yesterday for Halo 2 (Slayer and Rocketball) and 4PSS for Far Cry Instincts: Evolution.
den, good call on using the Warthog for ramming on the Ghost.
You're right that we definitely need to get back to making some new FC maps. I think you can import your old FC maps into FCIE with the map management option. Then you can use the new items/vehicles/brushes to change up your old maps so you don't have to recreate everything from scratch.

That's the Sid Meier's Pirates!, right? I haven't gotten into it yet. How many hours have you put into it?
Too many, although not close to as many as I spent on the NES version, I've almost got to the point where I can retire and have the top ranking in the game. Definitely a unique and awesome game, bit repetitive but in a good way.

Hmm, that is strange. I tried it once but could make neither head nor tail of the behemoth.

that was pretty funny.
we had a first in our monthly Halo night. We were playing Slayer on Coagulation, I was driving around in the Warthog looking for somebody to run over. Phoenix was in the Ghost, I plowed into him and got the SPLATTERED kill. as many times as we've played we've never killed anyone in a vehicle by ramming it with the Warthog.
also played some more Burnout 3 over the long weekend. I've unlocked all the Crash events and only need gold on about 10 more events. I've also unlocked all the Heavy Hitters vehicles, including the Fire Truck which is unlocked by getting all the Crash Headlines.

Played some Half Life 2 last night. Very impressive game so far. I'm only on something like the 3rd level, but the graphics, sound, and gameplay are all excellent! Those barnacles on the ceilings are a pain in the ass!

Can't seem to pull myself away from Katamari...haven't been playing anything else and I'm not beating any of my previous stats. I guess I just love crushing cows.

Rented and played Full Auto this weekend. Not a bad racing/destruction game, but it seems pretty generic in it's presentation. Controls were excellent, though! Very tight for a racing game.
Graphics, sound, and gameplay were all "good", but imo if they had about 6 more months of development time, it could've been much more polished. I liked the "crash rewind" and "self destruct" options. The latter could be especially fun in multiplayer.
Not bad for a rental and/or bargain purchase ($20 or less). I think they're off to a good start with the franchise, but a sequel is definitely in order. Gotta have 4PSS!
