and what about that ricky williams thing?
is it just me or did he just put his former team in a real bad situation by "retiring" a week before camp starts.  imo it just doesnt seem right.

Just the other day I had to have some one talk me out of jumping to my doom.  I don't wanna live in a world where Pretty Rickey (Pretty Rickey's what they called him!) doesn't play football.  Instead of watching Dolphins games on TV, I'm going to play Madden 2005 where he still exists.

I can't fing wait for football.  I like baseball and all, but I can only take so much of it before I need a change.  The Lions could make a run for the playoffs if they get a few lucky breaks.  Our offense finally looks like it's fleshing out, and they defense has definatly gotten stronger.  As long as we don't get too many injures (Charles Rogers, I'm spe!king to you), we could end up 8-8 if not make the playoffs.

I haven't heard too much about the Bengals during the off season (minus the whole Corey Dillon thing).  Have they signed any decent free agents?  How was thier draft?

I love the NFL!  I do root for the Lions, hell I'm a sucker for the home teams regardless of how much they suck. I concur with Sauza on the injury thing. the Lions can never seem to keep a healthy team on the field. last year was horrible in that regard.

I'm looking forward to this season and of course fantasy football. at the moment I'll be in at least 4 leagues.

BRING ON THE N..F..L..!!!!!!!

Yeah, I was in 4 leagues last year, but I'm trying to cut it down.  I'm only in three this year.   Wink

When the lions only won 2 games the other year that was the games after the 2 days i had brought my lions hat to school.
I cant wait for football season.
Mostly because of the pool im in though not because i would watch the game normally. It is fun to watch but i could find o many better things than to watch it. But since ive got money riding on each game i watch it almost religioulsy.

@ sauza:  the draft was alright i guess (i mean, it takes years to see how a team did in the draft).  although i dont fully understand why they picked chris perry with their first rounder.  doesnt make sense when rudi johnson is the starter and shared carries with corey last year and still came close to 1000 yards for the season.  i think he only started about 7 or so games.  so that confuses me alittle.  picked up nate webster from the Bucs in free agency and deltha oneil from denver.  the defense looks to be stronger this year exept for the run stop were they lacked last year.  had a chance at Sapp and pasted on him.  along with daryll gardener.  we'll have to see how it goes.  i just know that i cant wait for this shit to start!

once again this year no pre-season detroit v. cincinnati game.

gald to hear that good ol' joey harrington might live up to the promises of being a star out there.

p.s.  playboy picked the bengals to win the afc north this year and they have the lions not looking very good at all.  of  course this is playboy and they should just stick to things they know... like pussy.

well Joey Blue Skies should have some "real" NFL recievers to throw to this year. a hopefully healthy Charles Rogers, promising rookie Roy Williams and Tai Streets.

hell anything's better than Bill Schroeder.

I guess I'm ready too but you know the Falcons are debuting a new coach after firing the only one who ever took them to a Super Bowl. I really can't stand those preseason exhibition games but I may watch them anyway since it'll be August and they're on TV.

Hakim is one of my favorite players in the league.  It started when he was on the Rams, and I almost shit myself when the Lions got him.  The guy is just so damn quick he's fun to watch.

I kind of forgot about Hakim, he's been injured so much since the Lions signed him.
