man, tickets lately.  well I posted the story about me saying fuck and nearly getting a ticket.  now today I know someone that got a ticket.  for halloween at school, he painted his face the confederate flag.  The teacher called the office, the office called the coppers, and the cops had handcuffs in him by the end of the hour and took him to the office.  The big scene of putting him in handcuffs and saying "you have the right to remain silent".  And they brought 2 cops.  Why did they need 2?  I was in the room across the hall, and I heard from people that were there that he did nothing wrong and didnt talk all hour.  They took him to the office, he got a $180 fine and suspended for a week.

so then, today at work, I almost got in trouble.  I was talking to someone else behind the counter, and I started to feel like I was pushing something in.  it was the emergency switch in case theres a robbery!!! The cops didnt come though, and it wasnt in all the way, so I didnt get in trouble.

Its a north thing.
We weren't big on the confederate flag in MA but nobody gave a shit if you had one.

Now that i am in Texas i actually have a reason to own one.

Oh and you can get away with it by saying it is a Rebel flag and play stupid about knowing it was a confederate flag.

Rebel flag: buck the system.
Confederate: racism.

Its all in how you explain it to people.

In my town it's pretty cool among the older kids to own one, I have one hanging in my room, but the middle school kids and freshman hate all of us because "we're racist".  If I remember correctly, the civil war didnt start originally because of slaves, but because of high taxation imposed by the north.  plus, these are all kids that are ghetto which doesnt help.  Get a history lesson, kiddies.

I hope you do not remember correctly.
Even the arguement over the high taxation had its backing in slavery.
The south felt that the reason they had to pay such high taxes was because of their use of slaves.

Slavery was the entire issue of the Civil War and if the south knew what they were doing they never would have succeeded. Because the issue wasn't about removing slavery from places it was already in but not leting it spread outward into any of the new territories and states.

Kind of a side note:
In texas you don't have american history. They teach the history of texas. Also you say the Pledge of Texas.

That is why noone in Texas realizes that all real Texans live in Mexico and Texans today are all really just relocated Yankees.

I might not have remembered correctly, idk, I remember the thing about taxes though.  I learned about it 4 years ago, so your probably correct.  And I knew that about Texas, a teacher told me last year who always ranted about how we should kick texas out of the US.  Texas is to awesome.

The Civil War had been brewing since the revolution. Andrew Jackson almost marched on Charleston nigh on fifty years before shots were fired on Ft. Sumter because they weren't obeying his crazy ass.

Slavery was a sort of rallying flag for the Northerners to crowd around whilst the South wanted to defend their rights--of which slave ownership was one.

All in all the Civil War would have happened either way; at least in my opinion. If there had been no slaves the North may have simply given up after having their asses handed to them in the early war, but it is not likely.

I'd ramble on but I've lost my train of thought and must move on.

I totally stopped a bitch from steeling a sixty dollar diet kit.  She peeled the UPC sticker off a $6.99 picture frame and put it over the UPC of the diet kit and gave me a bunch of loose socks they took out of a pack to try to distract me.  I scanned the kit, looked at the price, flipped it over, peeled the sticker off, voided the picture frame, re-scanned the diet kit.  They then tried to play it off of as though they just thought it were on sale, I just flat out told them no.  I took it as a personal insult to my intelligence so I didn't even try to act nice about it.

I called work today to confirm I can work the days they asked me to next week. It was an answer phone so I left a message saying I can work on both days, leaving my name and home number. Half an hour later I got a text on my mobile asking if I can work for one of the days. I called them again and left another message saying I can work on those days. I haven't heard anything about it since. If I find out I'm not working those days I'm not going to bother with this job.
