Blazing Saddles is a great movie.  i think my favorite comedy would have to be either Blazing Saddles or Space Balls.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - no contest.  Three of my other favorite comedies are Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Big Lebowski.  Off-beat humor is the best humor of all.

Of course, anything by Mel Brooks is good (well, almost) but some other favorites are Office Space, Most Kevin Smith movies (burn in hell Chasing Amy), Caddyshack, Monthy Python, and any really dumb/spoof comedy (think Kung Pow and Scary movie).  Comidies are my favorite types of movie so I could go on forever.

well any Python flick qualifies, most notably Holy Grail and the Meaning of Life.

a few others are Kingpin with Woody Harrelson and Randy Quaid.

Better off Dead with John Cusack

and this ones a bit obscure but Tapeheads with Tim Robbins and John Cusack.

I don't think I have even cracked a smile at a Mel Brooks movie.

monty python movies are okay. One of the funniest movies I ever saw, got slated by the critics, it was called "Hotel Paradiso" and starred the cast of BOTTOM the t.v show.

Bottom is sort of like The Young Ones.

typical scene from Bottom LIVE at the old vic theatre......

Richie: No Eddie! You can't say fuck, this play is being recorded for video, we don't want to have problems with certification.

Eddie: Can we say cunt?

Richie: NO!

Eddiie: (waks to front of stage, takes a deep breath and yells) CCCCCCCUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
at the top of his voice.

That's about the level of the humour.

Wow, I forgot This is Spinal Tap somehow.  Great movie.  The other movie that guy made, which for some reason I can't think of right now, was great too.  Happened in Blaine, was about a small town putting on a play of some sort.  Anyone?
