Angry  Tell your stories of stuff like this happening such as getting so far and than not saving and having the dog hit reset or something of the sort.  Did I mention I'm pissed off?  Angry

Because, I didn't technically finish the game.  I beat the boss and had to walk over and pick up the magic bag and as I was walking over to get it it froze up on me!!  I never saw the ending.  The little piece of shit wasted 5 hours of my life!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Oh OK that would piss me off as well.

The only story I can think of that pisses me off are cheaters online. I was play Phantasy Star ONline a few weeks back and I got FSOD (Frooze Screen of Death). Some how other players ca don that to you. Becauase of it I lost 2 of the best weapons I had. Cheating when playing by yourself is one thing fucking with other people is just plain wrong. If I could find out where the person that FSOD me lives I would go beat the shit out of them.

Beat Lost Levels and then was playing thru the Hidden levels that you get after beating it and my bro saved over it.

Got to the end of Super Mario World and my bro saved over it.

Got nearly 100% in DKC and my bro deleted it.

Almost beat Rampage World Tour and my brother shut it off.

Was fighting Shao Kahn on very hard and had not lost a life getting in UMK3 and the genesis froze.

Thats all i can think of now.

Many of my tales would consist of my bro deleting saving over shutting up or freezing the syestem on me though.
And i did end up beating all those things later.

My beating of God of War was delayed for three months because when I finally beat a hard part it froze while saving.

Every time I have a good round of Battlefront 2 going online I lose my connection.

I was a micro-second away from beating FFVII and when I turned on my PS1 to finish her off, the memory card was dead and never came back.

I'm constantly accidentally deleting saved games.

I was ready to fight the last boss of Grandia (PSX), and when I came back to beat it...my file was corrupted.  Now I have a memory card just for Grandia (although that's because I've heard from a few sources that it may erase entire memory cards  Shocked).

This has happened to me constantly, but I have never learned my lesson.

When Final Fantasy 9 was brand new, I played through to the end of the 3rd disc and saved for the night.  When I went to go play it the next day, my memory card was corrupted and all of my data was erased.  It took me two years before I could finally play through it again.

Last year, I was playing through Star Wars:  Knight of the Old Republic and got all the way to the last planet (The hidden planet where the Sith Armada came from) and I initiated a coversation to get into some temple and my game froze.  No problem I'm thinking, I just saved 2 minutes ago.  I'll shut 'er off and boot it up again.  I did just that and they same thing happened.  I tried another 15 times, then grabbed my friends copy and tried it and it still froze up.  I still haven't been able to play through it again.

Why does this shit only happen when you are at the end of a game?  It never happens after your first save.  It's a god-damned scam to get you to buy more memory cards.

Jail time does not allow for the playing of VGs at all. Wink

I saw this in a store yesterday and was reminded of another tail.

Rented Heart of Darkness from Blockbuster YEARS ago for PS.
Beat thru the whole game over the course of 2 days.
While fighting the end boss the game you constantly freeze at the same part.
Brought it back to get the replacement disc Come home put it in the system and the disc wouldn't load past the SCEA screen. (Which i always thought was pretty cool for some reason.)

Brought that one back and they had no more copies at the time so got a rain check for the game and got a working copy later and beat it.

You could still play non-violent games, if you are imprisoned in the state of Missouri.  Or violent games anywhere else!
