.02? Damn. Looks like after this week though that you've got an RB1 after Bernard's injury, so you get a decent consolation prize after our matchup.

Hey, I'm in the semi-final!

The best part is I haven't checked my team in 3 weeks...

I just love the fact that I lost horribly last week, and in the consolation match my opponent and I have the highest point totals for the week.

Meanwhile I'm cruising right along thanks to having about the easiest schedule possible. That's how you win at FF, just play everyone on their off weeks.

To be honest I would've expected the same. Tongue

I haven't had a lot of time this season to play fantasy football, so just did the basics and hoped for the best.

I swear, everytime I root against the Pats they end up winning. (well I guess not, I did root for the Giants both times they won, but it seems Eli is like their only Achilles heel)

What sucks is the Seahawks beat both the Pats and Falcons in the regular season. But alas didn't win when it counted more.

=) 21-3 ATL. Kind of like when Seattle was winning like 20-0 at halftime vs DEN. I hope this post doesn't jinx them.

I don't understand the hate against the Patriots.  Even though my Eagles lost to them in Super Bowl over a decade ago, I can't hate good football.

Honestly I have gave into them. I can't deny TB is the greatest QB, maybe even player, ever. And BB is one of the greatest coaches ever, maybe even the best. Maybe only after Lombardi. At least in the top 3 or 5. People hate them because they were caught cheating several times. But I can't see any conspiracy in what happened 2 Sundays ago. You can't script the Edelman catch. I don't buy into any conspiracy this time, too many perfect things had to happen that aren't even possible to rig.

So, it was good football yes. But many people including myself the Pats only got to number 5 through some cheating and bad calls in their favor suggesting the league rigged them to win a few times. Which is exactly one reason I hate the Steelers, SB40 wasone of the worst called officiating jobs of all time. That should have been the first Seattle championship. People don't hate good football, they hate cheating and WWE/WWF styled rigging. But Brady proved that he didn't need to cheat this last time so many like myself have given in to the facts. And it does feel a bit better that the Falcons had an epic collapse, it doesn't make Seattle's 1 bad playcall sting as much, it soothes it a little. Because ATL had a whole quarter and an OT period of terrible D. That to me is worse. I don't understand the people who are saying the SEA SB loss was worse. That was 15 points closer. The Pats only came back by 10. And one bad play call sealed it. Not a whole quarter plus of crappy D.

So, people hate cheaters. But to me this one didn't show me any cheating. Just maybe the best clutch performance in history maybe. Perhaps in any sport.

Even the Pats first SB was possible due to a rule that no longer exists, the Tuck Rule. The Raiders would likely have beat them and the Pats would have never even made it to the SB that earned them their first. So Raiders fans hate them for that too, a dumb rule that was hard to interpret.

And the Pats just seem to always have luck on their side. ALL 3 of their first SB wins were by 3 points. 2 in the expiring seconds. Their 4th because of a bad play call that ended in an INT. And their 5th in an epic defensive collapse that has made the history books as the worst one ever in the post season, let alone SB, and one of the worse anytime even during the regular season. So it just seems like they may be the luckiest team of all time. They barely won all 5 of their SB's. I'd be less annoyed by them if they had blown out at the very least 1 or 2 of those teams. But they barely scrapped by all of them. But I guess maybe good football does involve luck? But 5 times? Thank god the Giants beat them both times. But I give credit, the Pats did barely lose those too. So I do give them credit for not losing badly.

The Eagles Super Bowl only looked close in terms of score.  The Patriots had their number all day.  But haven't all Super Bowls been close in the past decade or so?

Regardless, I don't see any of their wins granted to them through cheating.  Spygate was only illegal because of WHERE they filmed them, not BECAUSE they filmed them.  I think we can all agree that the location of filming them doesn't affect their ability to beat a bad Jets team.  The Tuck Rule definitely granted them that win, but again, it was in place before the season and the league could never have predicted that.  And the nonsense of deflategate is way overblown as well.  I don't care what air pressure is in a football.  When the league is suspending players and taking away draft picks for air pressure, I think we can all agree we're taking this way too seriously.  Not to mention the fact that ESPN leaked incorrect information from the start to whip up the frenzy. Not to mention how air pressure does indeed lower 1 PSI every 10 degrees in colder air (tire pressure being a prime example). Not to mention how the refs' gauges have a margin of accuracy +- of .5 psi, which something like 10 or 11 of the 12 footballs would have fallen within the prescribed limits.  And so on.  I don't see any of this as "cheating" but more playing the game.  Is deflategate shady? Sure as shit, but I really don't care.

The Seahawks have the most PED violations by far over the last several years, but have had many of their players escape penalty over technicalities.  The Panthers and Vikings were caught heating up footballs on the sideline (again, changing air pressure due to temperature), but that fell by the wayside.  The Steelers called the Giants out this year for a similar effect too, yet no witch hunt was undertaken.  The Falcons pumped fake stadium noise in for years, and received only a slap on the wrist and a loss of a 4th round pick.  The Seahawks had their own "deflategate" issue in a game against Buffalo, but that was ignored as well.  Regardless, I really don't care.  It's football, everyone does something a little shady.  In the end, you're not going to win a Super Bowl by pumping fake crowd noise in, you still need a whole lot of talent, and a whole lot of luck.

The Giants needed a great defensive line and a little bit of luck to win those two Super Bowls as well.  I've literally seen articles were people tried to claim the Belichick was rigging coin tosses to go his way.  Good teams win in those close games because they're well coached and have a bit of luck.  I'd much rather see a close game like Super Bowl 49 (probably my favorite) than a blowout like 47.
