As I mentioned in the Small Score thread I went to a yard sale today and ended up being given a Boxed Playstation 2 that the owner said was not working.  The best part is it appears to play PS1 games with no problem.   From what I read that means most likely it only needs an adjustment to the laser and a good cleaning get it back working fully again.  Any one have any experience with this?  I found this site http://arstechnica.com/ar...ia/hardware/ps2.ars?66806 which seems to lead you thru the process.  Any words of wisdom before I attempt Open Part Surgery

Well good luck. I have heard of people doing that and they had no problems. Plus if you screw it up how much money are you out?  Tongue

Looks like this URL is blocked from work (working at a Bank can be a real pain sometimes)  I'll check it out and let you know.  Since I haven't gotten the time to attempt a fix yet this may come in handy.
