I just finished Link's Awakening for the 2nd time ever, the first being probably 5 or 6 years ago. I love that game. I have both of the Oracle games, and I'm wondering if they are both as fun as Link's Awakening? I remember getting stuck on one of them and not picking it back up. Now I'm interested again. I also plan on playing LTTP again, should I go for the Oracle games or skip straight to LTTP?

I can't compare with Link's Awakening because I haven't played it, but I can tell you the Oracle games are much fun. They're polished and well-made, great graphics for GB Color games.
I can't think of anything bad about them, so I think you should give them a shot (or atleast one of the two, maybe Seasons first, but Ages is good, too)

I consider oracle of seasons and links awakening to be among the best zelda games.  I beat seasons and links awakening, but I haven't beat ages, I've barely even played it.  I picked it up at a rummage sale a few years ago for like $2.   I never really got into LTTP (sadly), I'd play the oracles first.  Probably the best graphics on any GBC game.

I only downloaded this but couldn't bring myself around to doing it, I considered it a cheat on life  Wink

I've been playing Oracle of Ages a lot in the past month or so. Great game but it can get damn confusing sometimes because it's so vague as to what you need to do next. You may find you'll spend a bit of time running around looking for obvious clues that the game doesn't give you. A lot of backtracking in this game too, more so than any other Zelda.

If you haven't already, pick up Minish Cap as well. It's made by the same team that did the other handheld Zelda games and it shows. Excellent title that doesn't get the credit it deserves.

You won't regret it. I enjoyed it alot. The season-switching makes for some interesting puzzles in the world. The dungeons are pretty nifty too.

@Tan: I found Oracle of Ages a tad bit confusing too. More than Seasons, that's why I prefer Seasons over Ages. I only finished like 5 dungeons on Ages and gave up, while I finished Seasons.

The thing is, with Seasons you can keep standing on a log and keep switching the seasons while with Ages you can't always change back. (Atleast that's what I remember of it)

Yeah Minish Cap is the only one I don't own, besides the CD-i games.

Link's Awakening is amazing. One of my favorite games. It's just slightly behind LttP as far as top down Zeldas go.

Agree with everything Shimra has said. Link to the Past and Awakening are, by and far, the best Zelda games made.

I enjoyed Ages, have yet to play Seasons... might have to start it up soon given the accolades it's receiving here.

Ages is nice but I liked Seasons better. Gameplay is comparable but with the Season-switching Seasons has more visual variaty Smiley

I thought the Oracle games were OK at best. I didn't like the giant animals you ride around, and a few other features.

Minish Cap actually might be my favorite Zelda.
