If UPC and part numbers are identical chances are it is the same game.
There are quite a few IBM PC games that are Mac compatible but since there is no way to track it without using the super generic Multiple Consoles tag it is almost always added as a PC release since that has historically been the more popular/supported platform.

That would be super cool if this could be addressed someday in the DB... the ability to pick multiple platforms for these computer games?  Or something else that does the job, if that would make the entire backend come crashing down.  Wink

I think the first time it was brought up as a real question was with the Burger King games.

The solution then was add it for both systems as its own game. Not exactly the best solution.
But at the time i didn't own a 360 so i listed it in my collection as the Xbox release.
After readding my collection when i had a 360 it ended up in my 360 collection.

I have this problem currently with 3-D Ultra Pinball, which is a CD compatible with both Macintosh and IBM PC (Win 3.1 and 95). It's currently not in the database as far as I can tell. How do I add this to correctly convey that it's compatible with both? Doesn't seem right to only add one or to add it twice.

Why not add it as a PC game and in the comment or trivia section just say that it is also Mac compatible with any other relevant information?

Submitted with "multiple consoles". Kind of weird to be so vague on a site with such specificity, but alas, I suppose it might not warrant it's own "Mac/PC Compatible" category.
