Title: What should I sell a SMB3 cart for?
Post by: Cryptid Collector on July 13, 2012, 09:35:51 PM
Someone wants to buy my duplicate SMB3 cart, what should I sell it for? I was thinking $6-$8 but I'm not sure.

Well the average going price online for a loose cart is $5. This game was mass produced so it anything from 'rare'. If you are selling it locally than I'd say $5. Online maybe your price range of $6-$8 wold be OK. So in reality your original estimate is OK, if its a loose copy.

What Raze said.

I've sold several loose SMB3 carts on Amazon Marketplace, and the lowest low-ball price I saw was just above $5.

However, the highest lowball price I've encountered was just under $8, so your $6-to-$8 estimate is fairly spot on.

Sell it locally at a Flea Market for $25. Somehow, they can't KEEP the cartridges in stock at the Flea Market for that price.

There is a guy at a flea market around here that does that!  Granted not quite that high, but he does set the price of all his goodies at ebay + 20%.

He's probably accounting for the shipping his customers don't have to pay :D
