Title: Yet another video game movie: Alone in the Dark Post by: Lord Nepenthean on January 06, 2005, 05:21:27 AM I just found out about yet another video game-based movie that is sure to be a steaming piece of trash. Alone in the Dark will now be made, starring some great actors. I hope they have footage from the game spliced with live-action shots too, like in House of the Dead.

I was half joking when I kind of suggested this movie could suck half as much as House of the Dead. I feel sorry for whatever poor sod hired this guy for this new movie.

I couldn't even play that damn game for fifteen minutes before freaking out and then sleeping with the lights on for a week.

I also heard that it only made like 2.5 million on it's opening weekend. Pathetic. Afterwards, I wrote a letter to Uwe Boll asking him to never make a movie again. The movie was NOTHING like the video games, and had horrible music (except the song during the credits which was amazing). Tara Reid as an archeologist was just hilarious. The worst problem with this movie though? It was completely incoherent. Camera shot transitions were confusing as hell. Please, Uwe, STOP. You've made us suffer enough.
P.S. I was going to give this movie a 1/10, but then I watched Pauly Shore is Dead afterwards. That movie gave new meaning to how horrible a movie can be. It reset the scale, so Alone in the Dark ended up getting a 2/10.
