Title: How to get Final Fantasy 3 in Europe ?
Post by: Sirgin on March 11, 2009, 10:18:32 AM
Recently, I started collecting all main-series Final Fantasy games (1 - 12 with the exception of 11)
The only FF that seems hard to get for me in Europe is FF3.

Questions:
- What would be the easiest way for me to get FF3 ?
- Does by any chance the Famicom version run on my NES (which I bought in Belgium)?

Please note:
- The DS version is not an option because I don't have a DS and I don't plan on buying one anytime soon.
- No emulators either - I want a legit copy of the games I play.

Thanks! :)

Since it's technically the same game, you could get one of the Final Fantasy VI releases, either for Game Boy Advance (FFVI Advance) or PS1 (Final Fantasy Anthology).

I assumed that he wanted the SNES version of FFIII. That's what my comments were based on.

Buy a NES from US and the game and that's all folks :)

Also NES "region protection can be easily be broken (no super electronics skills required more like brute force :D)

You can make every NES region free all you want, you're still going to need a 72 to 60 pin converter as shoving it into the slot won't work.

There are some overpriced 3rd party ones online and I occasionally see people find them out in the wild, but depending on what variants of NES games you have, you might already have a few or could easily trade for a couple. http://famicomworld.com/workshop/articles/nes-cart-converters/

I realize that you posted this 3 years ago, but didn't you get a DS Sirgin?
