I follow Shaq (cause hes unintentionally hilarious), rainn wilson of "office fame", Louis Ck, some bands and a few other funny people. Anyone else do this or have anything funny to say about it?

It's hard to explain but I can admit that it's really bad until you fill it with interesting people with similar interests. Once you get a good group of people to follow and who follow you, it's a really powerful platform. It ends up being all the things I like about social networking sites, forums, community driven sites, and networking sites.
That being said, MANY people still think it's just advertising, spam, status updates, and stupidity. Well...IT IS...IF you don't have a good group of people to follow. Even now, I still unfollow people every now and then just to keep the quality in my twitter feed high. It's kind of like Xbox LIVE in that way.
