i like how quickly you guys add missing games to a list, so i will probably continue to use this since my previous list on IGN never gets missing games bc they never add them

BUT, i would love to be able to also list what system i have, not just games....i dont know of any collection list site that would allow me to do that.....just an idea

and it would be cool if that system list could show the number of games you had for each system. a bar graph perhaps?

also, you couldnt just have "gamecube" in the system list

you would need "black gamecube", "indigo gamecube", "platinum gamecube", etc.....

Yeah the database is set up for all of this already.  I planned for this when I designed the layout of everything, particularly the ID# system.  A basic ID# is like this:

U-027-S-00010-A

The U tells us it is an item in the USA region.

The 027 tells us it is a NES item.

The S tells us it is a software item.

The 00010 is the software item #.

The A is the item's variation code.

So, the S can easily be changed to H for hardware.  So what you might have, for example, would be:

U-027-H-00001-A     NES Console
U-027-H-00002-A     NES Toploader Console
etc.

These would show up in the database as regular items.  They will be given a different page template since it obviously doesn't make sense to have things lige "genre" criteria for a console or controller.  However, these pages with full ID#'s will be item-specific.  Thus, the Toploader page won't have a software list or # of games or anything like that.

Instead, each collective console "mini-database" will have its own page.  These will have all kinds of info and links, but currently I'm still working on the layout for all of this.  Hopefully Eddie and I can get this together or at least started this month.

one pic that a lot of people might not be able to get is the mountain dew xbox that i have...i cant take a pic of that + everything that orginally came in the box

I'll volunteer pictures as well. I've got a few not many people may have like the Watara Supervision, Microvision and Action Max.

The only thing i have that i don't think anyone here does is the Halo Xbox.

I have the ROB NES combo to but i don't have the cardboad box.

i have a halo xbox as well as the regular black and the mountain dew lime green

Those are the other ones people might not have.

I know Anti has the N64 atomic Purple one and Tynstar has the 2nd model NES and everyone probably has the original N64 box.

I have the ROB combo box but no foam or system for it  :-/

sorry, i just saw this post. lol. i really like the idea. i too can upload pics for different boxed systems. i will type the systems that are not as common. off the top of my head i have:

all CIB
atari 2600 - promotional use only
pong IV
snes (mini) with the zelda link to the past *target exclusive*

i may have a few more.

I'll also gladly provide pictures for boxes....I can take pics of the European consoles that I come across here and maybe a few US ones....

also, since this allows for many consoles to be added, what do you guys say about pirated consoles?  Maybe we could add a "Licensed" or "Official" field to the hardware pages to distinguish official from pirated hardware....I have so many CIB Famiclones I'd love to take pics of and document somewhere :)

I was was looking for something like this before I posted my own comment, but this is what I am looking for. It would be great if you can put what version of genesis you have in your collection or nes like top or front loader, also if you have light gun like a menacer or leathal enforcer guns blue or both blue and red.
weird add ons for your systems or third party controllers, game gennies ect, right now its like well in your collection you have 32x games so you must have a 32x or you just must collect for the hell of it!
Besides that, this Site is great for collectors!

We are working on adding hardware to the collection tool.

Yaaaayyy i can't wait till i can add more to my collection :)

Also it will bring a whole new type of info i get to add to the database and gain for personal knowledge ;)
