Title: Midwest Gaming Classic Post by: Tondog on January 31, 2009, 01:19:20 PM http://www.midwestgamingclassic.com/
The Midwest Gaming Classic is fastly approaching. It is being held March 21 and 22 at the Olympia Resort Center in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. I will be there, as will OatBob from the forums. Who else is gonna go? OatBob and I have a room booked at the resort for the weekend and are open to letting other RFGen members stay with us, as long as you're willing to split the cost of the room evenly. The rooms are $90 per night, so if two other people stay in our room, each of us would only pay $45 total, which of course means more money to spend on games at the convention! :D If you're interested staying with us, send me a PM and we'll work out the details. Also, if you're going, leave a message in the thread. It would be nice to set up some kind of gathering for RFGen community members to actually meet each other and maybe play some games. Title: Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Post by: Atarian75 on January 31, 2009, 04:10:33 PM I will be there as a vendor again this year. I don't really have a name that I am selling under or anything, just a local collector selling games, but if you can find me make sure to say hi.

Make sure you stop by Atarian75's booth. I've traded with my personally and he's a cool guy!

Sweet, I'd go if it wasn't a five hour car ride. It's six for me. :DTitle: Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Post by: shaggy on February 08, 2009, 05:34:04 PM Every year I say I'm going to go but I never do. This year I'm not going to go. Does that mean you are going to go seeing that you said you weren't going to go and every year previously you did the opposite of what you said you were doing? Title: Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Post by: shaggy on February 08, 2009, 05:35:37 PM I'm not so sure if I'm going to go now seeing they raised the price of admission. I remember when it was like $6 to get in. Now it's $15.
Title: Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Post by: modest9797 on February 08, 2009, 06:37:01 PM Thats a pretty big increase.

-Atarian75 Title: Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Post by: shaggy on March 23, 2009, 07:30:56 PM So how did it go?! Anyone have pictures? What did you do? Gives us info! I ended up not going because of the price increase. Man, I wish the MGC didn't get so popular. It was more fun when there were less people there.
Title: Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Post by: Atarian75 on March 23, 2009, 08:46:03 PM All in all the show was awesome. Being a vendor, I didn't get to get away from my tables much. It was really busy on Saturday. I did take some pictures which I will upload as soon as I get a chance. There were a couple other RF Gen'ers at the show and hopefully they will chime in to give a better perspective of the show as they actually got to see the whole show. Anyway, I will give my impressions when I get the pictures sorted out.
