i voted for the first one how about you guys hardcore gamers?

More, just due to all the times I go to Goodwill and garage sales.

I voted "more" because I think it was something like 600-700 games.

Wow you guys are pretty SOOOO hardcore man.600-700 games a year?Its gonna cost a bomb man :) I dont get that much because i am still a student and doesnt have regular income/

I'm pretty confident it's more than 50. It's been a slow gaming year for me, but I know I've had a few good sized hawls. I started the Turbo and Xbox in '08 and have 6 Turbo and 10 Xbox there, then at least 10 new PC games including Unreal III, Battlefield 2, and Quake Wars. 7 CIB Atari 5200 titles, handful of CIB NES games, some PS2 and SMS games, imported over 30 Saturn games in Feburary... Wait, I did go over easily.

On a side note I did pull in over 400 new vinyl records and more than 50 singles/45's. Also I pushed into the comic market pulling in a dozen series with maybe 80 issues or so, including a lot of the original Akira, Dirty Pair, Turok, and Shidima.

yup, indeed it is a lot of work spending the cash to haul in more than 50 games...

Cynicism aside, I know I personally fit well into the "more" category.  Maybe even for more than one console!  Numbers aside, I've still got a healthy chunk of the DC collection to go.  Darn, maybe next year.

All I can remember is Medieval II and L4D, and WoTLK...and CoD 4, and CS:S, and Portal, and Audiosurf...damn it's been a long year.

I don't consider myself hardcore, but dedicated. I spent a little over $1,000 this year and sold about $300 worth of duplicates, so it really only cost me $700.
And I too am a student, but I work full time in the summer and part time the rest of the year to pay for my addiction.

I voted 30-50, but after thinking about it a bit, it was more than 50. :P

So if you bought 21-29 games, you can't participate in this poll. ;D

Also, if you bought 10 games you can vote both 1-10 and 10-20. ;)

Waaaay more. I had like 50-70 games last year, and right now, I'm getting close to 500 :P

I lost count somewheres around 300+.  Hell, I've imported nearly that many last year alone.  Wasnt that hard or that rare for me at the start to have orders of 30-40 games at a time.  This year I've sworn off that habbit and only plan to buy 2 games a week tops.  Atleast, unless I come across some huge sale that I'd have to be an idiot to pass on.  I think I bought around 450 games maybe.

I got... MGS portable ops, Castlevania Dracula X, and uh... that's it. I did get TWEWY, Mercury Meltdown (for some reason), PW 3, and Castlevania OoE for Christmas though.

I just don't play games like I used to. And besides, I had yet to really play DQ8, Suikoden 3, Valkyrie Profile, Jeanne d'Arc, and FF Tactics before getting more games. So frankly, I don't really need new games unless I absolutely love the series (in the case of Castlevania and PW) or it's an insanely awesome game that I absolutely need (TWEWY).

But there are a few games I'd love to get assuming I had the time or an easy college schedule. Those games would be Crisis Core, FFIV DS, DQ4 DS, Dissidia, DQ5 DS, Apollo Justice, Hotel Dusk, Star Ocean 2 PSP, etc. You see the general trend.

I bought way more than I should have.  I have a serious purchasing problem..

Probably close to 70 or so most of them just being replacement DC games (of course now I need another DC)
Which is probably why my bike still needs the tires it needed 4 months ago :stick:

I bought more than 21. Back when I had a job it would be three or four times that amount. I actually never blew away all my cash. I would save a hundred every other week. So I remained financially organized.  :P

More for me.  I buy way too many games in a year's time.
