Title: The Warcraft Retrospective
Post by: Sirgin on November 04, 2008, 09:14:58 AM
A history of Warcraft and Blizzard in general, a must-see for fans of the series.
Both parts are about 15min long and very well-made. :)

Oh God damn it. I can't stay away from WoW much longer...

Is the addiction kicking back in or are you excited for Wrath of the Lich King?

Lil' o' both. I'm writing a term paper on my addiction to WoW, it isn't helping...

Hmmm, I see.

And would it possible to keep yourself to some sort of schedule? Like...never playing over 2 hours a day? So that it doesn't completely "ruin" your life.

Or is it an "everything or nothing" type of situation?

Oh I could balance it fine. I managed to keep over a 3.0 GPA for two years playing 80+ hours a week. It's just whether or not I want to go back. It was boring, nothing else to do...now there is though, and my WoW friends keep pestering me to return.

What's a "3.0 GPA"?

Atleast they mention the part where Blizzard basically stole alot of Warhammer lore. I give them credit where credit is due.

Yeah, I like this retrospective because it's more than just a brief summary of things everybody already knows but rather says some interesting, more specifc, things.

Rock 'n' Roll Racing & Dune II rule. It was good to see a glimpse of them. Nice little back history there. While I loved WC2 & WC3 (never played the 1st) I have never given WoW a chance. I know it'll eat away too much time. One day though, I am sure I will play it.
