Title: World Of Goo Post by: hXd on October 28, 2008, 11:02:42 PM If you're a Wii or PC owner, you need this game. For serious.
It's quite possibly one of the most brilliant games I've played in a while. I could even go as far to say that this is the Tetris of the current generation. Additionally, it has one of the best music scores I've ever heard in a game. Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on October 28, 2008, 11:12:06 PM I've heard this. I'ma need to check it out.
Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: Tondog on October 28, 2008, 11:17:30 PM I played the demo, and I totally need to get it one of these days.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/41427.html Yeah, it looks cool, reminds me of Loco Roco a bit. :) Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: hXd on October 29, 2008, 06:35:20 PM I think it even has some of that Oddworld sensibility to it. Man I loved those games.
Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: NESman93 on October 29, 2008, 06:58:07 PM why have i not heard of this?
Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: NES_Rules on October 30, 2008, 03:19:30 PM I just got done playing the demo, and while it is a very fun game that I enjoyed thoroughly, I'm not spending $15 on a game that I can't physically have,

That's a shame. :(Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: hXd on October 30, 2008, 11:45:01 PM As far as I know it's download-only for Wii, but I believe the PC version is physical.
Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: Tondog on October 31, 2008, 02:43:39 AM As far as I know it's download-only for Wii, but I believe the PC version is physical. The PC version is either or. It's out now on most PC download services, and the disc version is coming soon. It got delayed for some odd reason. Here's a link to order it at Amazon:http://www.amazon.com/World-Goo-Pc/dp/B001ENOVP2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1225439233&sr=8-1 I'll probably just get the game on Steam since I like having all my games on there and I want the achievements...unless the retail copy can be redeemed on Steam. Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: NES_Rules on October 31, 2008, 08:22:49 AM Well, if there can be a physical PC version then there can be a physical Wii version eventually? If there is I would buy it, even it added $5 to the price.
Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: Tondog on October 31, 2008, 09:03:26 AM Well, remember it was made by just two guys, so I don't know that a disc version of the Wii game will happen right away. They have yet to get it on Mac and Linux, which is one of their goals.

Especially that last one; seems a bit odd to make a game for Linux. If there will be a physical PC version, then that's what I'm getting. ;) Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: otaku on November 08, 2008, 03:12:06 AM I have the demo on my pc now. Need to play it. Looks interesting
Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on November 08, 2008, 08:46:02 AM Pretty sweet, but I quickly grew disinterested. Brilliant as it is, it just reminds me of a flash game with prettier music.

But it did evolve out of a flash game, Tower of Goo. :DTitle: Re: World Of Goo Post by: James on November 08, 2008, 11:23:50 AM Pretty sweet, but I quickly grew disinterested. Brilliant as it is, it just reminds me of a flash game with prettier music. That's how I felt about the demo. :( Why pay $20 on something when there are very similar games for free that you can be bored with? Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: NES_Rules on November 08, 2008, 11:54:13 AM Pretty sweet, but I quickly grew disinterested. Title: Re: World Of Goo Post by: hXd on November 08, 2008, 12:23:41 PM Yeah Chapter 2 itself blows everything from Chapter 1 out of the water.
