Title: Buying a New Scanner????? Post by: cverz2 on October 26, 2008, 08:52:21 PM So I am thinking of buying a new scanner. Since my old one has been broken for some time now.
I don't know what is good and what is bad. I am getting it for the sole purpose of scanning my games, boxes, manuals, etc. for our website. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good brand to get. I don't want to spend a ton of money. But I don't want a cheap piece of junk either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Post by: NES_Rules on October 26, 2008, 08:57:32 PM I've always had good luck with HP stuff, I've been using the same scanner for probably 5+ years with no problems, and it's fast too. Mine is also an "all in one" which is great for saving space.
Ideally, what would be best is if you can find a inexpensive used one, but they're tough to buy at garage sales because there is no way to test it other than hooking it up to the person's computer. It costs somewhere around £40 in Britain. He was very pleased with it.
