Title: Submitting scans of a copy protection "device"? Post by: Rajaat the Warbringer on October 01, 2008, 08:14:06 AM I recently received a bunch of classic D&D PC games in the mail, and to my surprise they actually came with the code wheels needed to bypass the copy protection for 2 of the games rather than a digital manual telling you the answers. They're pretty cool looking, and I feel they're worthy of submitting, I'm just not sure if that would be against some kind of regulations.
They're brand new, so the parts where the actual answers are haven't even been punched out yet, so nobody could actually gain any information from the scans to illegally play the games, but I figured I'd better bring it up first anyway. But don't submit them just yet, wait for a staff member to (dis)confirm my thoughts. Title: Re: Submitting scans of a copy protection "device"? Code wheels are slightly less annoying than "The first line of the fourth paragraph of the fifth page" and other things that need you to pull out the manual. Haha, almost like a puzzle in itself. If you can't solve it: bad luck! :P |
