Anyone check these out yet? If you don't know, you get a code for this game for free with Fable II pre-order. It's an Xbox Live Arcade title (800 MS Points).

Pub Games includes three casino-style mini-games. You can earn gold that you can import into Fable II. You can also unlock items for use in Fable II.

Forture's Tower is a card game, Keystone is a dice game (like craps I think?), and Spinnerbox is like slots. None of them are worth the price to pay for the game. If you have a Fable II pre-order or are really into getting a head start on Fable II, it's worth it. If you have no intention of playing Fable II don't waste your time.

12 achievements same as any other arcade title. Single player only. Leaderboards, 92mb of hard drive space required.

I've been playing the shit out of it all day long. I've unlocked a few items but I'm still in the hole. Either I really suck at this games of chance stuff or the game hates me.

I picked up a handful of the free download cards over the weekend to get the Pub games without reserving Fable 2. They said "help yourself" so I did. 8)

They also had a demo of it going on. The games are very simple. But you need to know when to fold on the card game so you don't lose all of your money. The worst of the games is the Spinnerbox (slots) game.

Not worth 800 MS points. But if you can get a free copy and plan on playing Fable 2 or just need a mindless diversion, it's fun enough.

That was the problem with the original Fable and the gambling mini-game in it. You could do, I believe, the exact same thing...not to mention the glitch that I got when I left the gambling table that randomly gave me 99999999 gold and made the rest of the game ez-mode since I could buy everything and anything.

Stupid game stop employees didn't give me my code.  I miss having cool people work there who gave me stuff for free just because I was a regular. 

I haven't played so I dunno if they addressed the glitch. If they did and you'd like to do it.. Just yank out your ethernet cable and clear the cache. Play offline and exploit away.

To clear the cache:
On Dashboard, select the System, and select Memory. Highlight the HD symbol and press Y. Press X, X, LB, RB, X, X. It'll ask if you want to perform maintenance. Hit yes.

Update: the gold glitch does work. It also works in the Fortune's Tower tourneys.

Phoenix - it's easy but... You really gotta keep tapping LB after you hit A to deal. If you just hit LB once it doesn't always register. Just keep an eye on your bid amount ;)

Tried it yesterday, but it wasn't working. Maybe I need to tap LB faster or something?

I noticed a title update when I accessed it, I'm wondering if they took the glitch out?

I don't know if there's any truth to this since I haven't looked into it, but one of my reliable EB contacts told me the that the glitch was intentional and that if you exploited it, your character in Fable 2 will be treated accordingly because the software will know that he cheated at the game and the rest of the story will unfold with this in mind. That would be pretty cool! 8)

Anti, I see that you play Catan and Carcassone according to your recent gamertag. Do you also play Ticket to Ride?

I do play Ticket to Ride! I don't have any expansions though.

I've tried Pub Games again last night. I think that the cheat is gone... :P

So is this any fun if you don't plan on getting Fable 2? I have a code, but I'm thinking of just trying to trade it away for another code for a random XBL game.
