Title: prepaid phone cards and other things that come with games Post by: raptor94k on July 23, 2008, 01:05:28 AM Just found a prepaid phone card for a hint/tips line in my Mohawk and Headphone Jack for SNES box. It has a picture of the cover of the game on it. I don't have it with me and I can't recall how much it is for. I just thought this was interesting.
Can anyone tell me anything besides the obvious about these phone cards? Did other SNES games come with them or just this one? Any games on any other system? Just thought this would make for some interesting conversation. What is the weirdest thing you know of that has come with a game? I remember that they were a pretty hot insert in the sports card hobby for a period of time in the mid-90s.
I can't personally think of any other games that came with them. I bought a stack of about 75 SNES games from a closing video store about 5 years ago and since they had the boxes on the shelves with all the inserts in them, but only gave the games and the manuals to the people that rented them...almost all of them were complete. So I guess they just left said prepaid phone card in the box for years and I ended up with it. The best item I've pulled out of a NA game is the Mutant League trading cards but I'm a huge fan. |
