Title: Two Free Games from a screw up.
Post by: darko55 on June 26, 2008, 08:35:23 AM
So a while back I was renting games from Rogers and they screwed up 3 times that night (they usally do) but two of the screw ups were in our favor (my dad and me).

So the first screw up in the morning was we got 2 gift cards for free movie rentels (it was cheaper that way) and used them all right then and htere. now what should of happend was that they should have taken both cards and that would be that..but we got one card back with 25$ on it so theres a free 25$ ^_^

The next two happend at night, we were renting alot of stuff and they forgot to check out two games (Viva Pinata and Saints Row) so we go out to the car come back and say that they forgot them and they were in such a hurry they dident even check them out (two free games) when we got home mom said dont even bother returning them (seeing as they screw up so much)

So two free games and 25$ for my dad lol.

I used to manage a Rogers video and am very happy to hear you actually got a good deal from them (even if it wasnt intentional). Ted Rogers is the Second richest man in Canada and probably one of the cheapest and also an ass. They rip people off so often (specifically in the area of cellular phones) its good they got a small dose of their own medicine. Not that i'm bitter or anything......

Viva Pinata and Saints Row?  There are 2 titles you don't hear used togeather too often.

But they are both great.

(Next time you should go for games you can sell at a game store for alot of $$$)

The Rogers here closed several months ago, too bad because despite it's issues it had decent prices for used games and good deals on accessories.

Off topic a bit, but Futureshop selling used games will be interesting.

Yeah, the Rogers that I'm talking about is in Abbotsford. Shortly after I got there two games (we also buy used games there all the time) they upgraded there security so its harder to pull anything like that off again ( we dident even mean to steal they just pretty much gave us two free games and I was all like Keep em!)

Good go steal some more.  I happen to hate Ted Rogers since he is trying to buy the Buffalo Bills and move them to Toronto!!

And some people are trying to keep it that way.  I hear someone is trying to pass legislation to keep the NFL out to help preserve the CFL.  I think they are also having issues with TV rights (since that's where the NFL makes the big bucks)

I really don't think Toronto is big enough for the Argonauts (CFL) and an NFL team too.

Wow. I'm not sure what's more appalling, the fact that your mom encourages you to take things that don't belong to you, or that nobody else here appears to have a problem with it.

Who are we to criticize someone else's parenting skills? Besides, this thread was hijacked into a CFL discussion.

When the criticism is so obviously called for, I have no problem doing it.

And I don't really understand the desire for an NFL franchise in Toronto. The CFL is great - not that I'm much of a football fan, but I'd rather watch the smaller, faster CFL any day - and once the thrill wore off I suspect the team would go the way of the Vancouver Grizzlies.
