Count the "F's" in the following text: FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE- SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF- IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...(see below) Managed it ? Scroll down only after you have counted them, okay? Do you think there are three? How many ? 3? Wrong, there are 6 !!--no joke. Read it again. The reasoning behind it is further down. The brain cannot process "OF". Incredible or what ? Go back and look again!! Anyone who counts all 6 "F's" on the first go is a genius. Three is normal, four is quite rare. I've seen those things where they horribly misspell words and yet you can still read them. It's simply our familiarity with our language.

There are other words were you will subconciously remove a word or add a word to make a sentance correct. With the removing of a word it was generally short words like "of" / "the" tagged onto the end of a short line of text and put at the begining of the next line of text. Things like that are pretty cool though. |
