Pure Awesome. Go see the movie. NOW.

I don't want to create trouble here, but I have to disagree. I thought it was terrible.

People who dislike this movie = people who do not have the capacity for free thought.

I could probably make a list of about 30 things if I could watch the movie and write things down, but the jist of it was that the main characters were virtually indestructible. They lived through a helicopter crash, for crying out loud (a crash that the pilot didn't survive, oddly enough). Then we got to the awesome close up of the monster, which ended in Hud getting eaten. Only he didn't get eaten. The monster just threw him up into the air, and his body looked completely unharmed when the camera lands next to him. Magically, the monster is completely gone 10 seconds later when his friends run up to check on him and grab the camera.

Oh, and I have the capacity for free thought. The idea was great. It was poorly executed.

yay, i'm not the only one who's been questioning the film

yes, much awesome, but a nagging points like BE Dude pointed out keep bugging the heck out of me.   Mainly that a few of the more thrilling sequences were predictable, and if I didn't know any better, I'ld say that Hud is an expert cameraman, with the lack of shots of his own legs, and the continuous filming while he should be focused on other things, like running for his life or soiling his pants.

Love it or hate it, this movie is the best one I've seen in years.  Also, you'ld be cheating yourself to not see it in theaters.

Just because it's JJ Abrams, the movie had me curious.

But with the mixed feedback here, sounds like one to wait on for when it comes to DVD.

No. You're really cheating yourself if you wait. I'm not kidding. It's meant to be seen on a big screen with other people there.

It really should be seen in the theater, and this is coming from the guy who didn't like it.

Definitely go see it on the big screen.

I'd much rather see There Will Be Blood before I see Cloverfield.

That or No Country for Old Men.

Already saw No Country, can't find any theaters close to campus playing There Will Be Blood which is annoying. I may end up seeing Cloverfield instead if it continues at this rate (either way I will see both, it's just a matter of when).

Yeah that is annoying, it's not even at the Esquire O.O

For a movie getting such high ratings I don't get why it's not to be found.

Zoidberg should have been the Cloverfield monster. That would have been so hilarious.
