Title: SNES modded with an amiga RGB port
Post by: SnowKitty on January 04, 2008, 04:38:27 PM
i put a DB23 connector in one of my snes systems so i could use it on my amiga monitor. it worked out pretty well. all i had to do was run wires from the bottom of the AV jack to the DB23 connector and put a 220uf cap on the r g and b signals. i use my amiga's monitor cable to hook it to my 1084S-D1 and the standard RCA av cable to get sound.
here's a couple of pictures of it.

Wow nice work! Looks great. :)

Even in that pic you can appreciate how crisp and clear the picture quality is.

nice work - RGB plus 60Hz it doesn't get any better than that! I wish I had a TV with an RGB euroconnector...
you dont need one, you can just get an amiga RGB monitor and make a cable. the pinouts are all over the net

Oh sweet, pure quality assured, years on and your monitor still runs like a dream I see.
Awesome idea too.

I don't have one of them either, wish I did though as well as an Amiga or Commodore. I've only got a couple TV's that have PC RGB inputs, would it be possible use that instead?
it should as long as you get the pinouts for it rightt... the snes outputs  RGB at 15khz composite sync if i remember right.... i thik it may be possible to hook it to a VGA monitor if you had a sync splitter and scan doubler (i think thats what you need)
