Correction. The teamxbox article stated "up to 4 players".

So far it looks like it has the makings of a great zombie game! 8)  The developer interview was particularly interesting. Seems they put a lot into the zombie AI.

Hmmm...zombie intelligence...seems like an oxymoron...

Ah lame, running zombies are impossible.

Not so. It worked pretty well in the "Dawn of the Dead" movie remake from a couple of years ago.

The latest developer interview stated that the replayability factor of the game is going to be pretty high due to the fact that zombie spawning is not fixed in the game. I guess each new game resets how the zombies are populated and you never know when or where they'll pop up. Sounds like a cool feature. 8)

However, it seems each multiplayer co-op session will be short (play through to survive in less than an hour), but hopefully the offline campaign is longer (not much has been said about that yet). 

I love zombie game's.

I am not a fan of running Zombies like Leon but that looks pretty sweet.

And it looks like there's a variant where you can play on the other side as the zombie bosses against the humans!

It was a good movie but it's still retarded. I would consult the Zombie Survival Guide but I didn't bring it down to the new house. Something about how running breaks down too much muscle that will never regrow. Also it would be beyond their brain capacity, as is climbing things.

That is such an awesome book. You better hope there isn't a break out while you don't have that book.

I seriously can't wait for Left for Dead.  My friends and I are ready for some 4 player zombie killing action. 

PS. The Zombie Survival guide was a fucking awesome read.  (Even though I already knew every thing that was in it)

I hope so! From the videos I've seen on gametrailers.com, it sounds like they've put a lot into the "Director AI" and in being able to adjust the game on the fly per each player's skill level.

This one's moving up on my personal list this holiday season. 8)

I preordered my copy on steam. Can't freakin wait.

Apparently there's a demo that's going to be released on the 6th (full game on 11th) if you pre-order the game.

Seems kind of counter-productive in my opinion, a demo should be released to everyone in order to give a taste to those who aren't sure if they want the game....but I'm still hella pumped.

After getting Orange Box on PS3, I really don't want to get another console Valve game, especially a multiplayer focused one like L4D. They are just so much better on PC because of a larger community and free DLC/updates.

Demo is amazing. Steam is failing at having reliable servers at the moment, but hopefully that is fixed pronto.

Anyone know when the demo will be available to the public?

Only major problem right now is this horrible matchmaking system. It's like they ported it over from the 360 or something. First of all the matchmaking is dumb, randomly putting people from all over the world in the same room (= lagggggg). Likewise, there's little incentive for people to even run dedicated servers since they can't even play or admin in their own servers because they can't find them because there's no server browser. It's quite literally retarded.

Hopefully valve realizes they dropped the ball here and adds a server browser before release.

So, my computer runs the demo decently. Since I know that now, I'm getting this game!

I downloaded the demo from Xbox live last night. The Zombie blasting was rather fun. The demo ended after reaching the second "safe house" checkpoint.  After playing it I think I have a better understanding of what it's like to be chased by Zombies.

Watch out for the "bloaters", if they vomit or explode on you you'll attract Zombies like flies.

I think it does have multiplayer. I first clicked "Campaign" and it said it was searching for games. I backed out of that and played "Single Player".

Yeah, it's got the 4 player co-op, but you can't play as the other side. Only the humans.

Never underestimate the power of blind fanboyism. Though I do hope L4D outdoes GoW.

I've played the demo a few times and I really enjoyed it. I was going to pre-order it until I found out that it is $70 Canadian which is more than I spent on Fallout 3 CE. It pains me to do it but I'll be waiting until it drops in price or I can pick it up used.

Finished the first campaign and a bit of the second.

How is the single player campaign?

It's the same as the multi-player. Difference is that you control one survivor and the rest are controlled by bots. It's not as much fun by far because the bots have an uncanny aim, don't panic, and only ever follow you never moving forward on their own. This game is entirely about the human element, I wouldn't purchase this game for single-player.


Just played some Versus, where you trade off in matches playing as zombie or survivor and try and rack up as many points as possible. AMAZING.

Alright review; a little narrow minded; granted that it is covering the X-Box version. It's highly replayable though, them saying it only has 4 hours of gameplay is retarded; does that mean CS:S has 0 hours of gameplay because it doesn't have linear levels? No...Multiplayer bro, multiplaya.

And I bet they thought Gears of War 2's Horde mode was totally fucking original.
