I don't mind an autopick draft. Spreads out the wealth a little better, which gives everyone a chance to win. Plus, you can always change your pre-draft rankings if you want to try to draft a specific person.

I'd like to say that the Black Perl is on vacation right now, I don't expect the league to fill up before he gets back, but it'd be awfully nice if we kept a space for the Perl should such a thing occur.

Also, I agree with Seamar. The auto-pick draft gives everyone a chance to win.

wow! that filled up fast, only one slot left.

in regards to the auto draft... it's just easier. trying to get everyone together for a live online draft is tough. in my experience you usually end up with half the teams picking live and the other half auto picked.

I actually don't give a rip about Vick.  I just like to make fun of him, and the stupid things he's done.   Since I'm from Detroit, and we don't have a professional football team, my current favorite QB is Tom Brady.

To me watching Pre-Season is like watching Scrub players during a strike/lockout year.  It's a bunch of guys who are just trying to stay healthy enough to enjoy the pro paycheck they get for a couple of weeks.

Beating Cincy's 3rd string isn't really that impressive to me.  I still think The Lions will loose 9-10 gmaes this year.

Title: Re: The Fantasy Football 2007 thread.
Post by: St0rmTK421 on August 13, 2007, 09:24:35 PM
Yeah, I know what you mean.  It really takes away from the game when the players aren't putting 100% in.  The coaches don't care about winning either, they just want to keep everyone healthy and see how good the backups are.

Den, do you know when the draft will be?

and we are full again. we still have some time before we need to draft... but not much. Yahoo ranks players for the auto drafts but you can modify that for your own preferences. check it out.

I'll post here when I set the draft status to "ready".

the draft status has been changed to "ready". it usually drafts with 24-48 hours of the status change so you should be able to see who you got shortly.

So I put Jamal Lewis and Houshmandzadeh on my bench this week. Lewis because of last weeks sad performance and Houshmandzadeh because he supposedly had knee and hamstring problems the past two days. So how did they do today...

Jamal Lewis had 215 yards and 1 touchdown.
Houshmandzadeh 69 yards and 2 touchdowns.

I don't know if I'll win this weeks match-up or not at this point.
We will know Tuesday mourning.

That really loud expletive you all just heard was me seeing the Receiving leaderboard for today, and "complaining" that I didn't play him.  I know that my theory of "play the guy playing the Lions" would have been in full glory today, but I guess I  didn't follow it.

In my defense, I thought the Lions had a slightly better team than what they showed today.  I also didn't think that Philly would open that BIG of a can of Whoop Ass on em.  And besides, the projected points had him scoring like 5.  What do I know.

Besides, he's a white guy from Utah, how good's he gonna be?

I had to actually manage my roster today. Chad Johnson is out with a bye, and a few other players are banged up.

I still do like my chances this week though.

We'll see how Tom Brady does for me this week. :)

Captain your kicker was your second most valuable player with 23 points! Hell, Your up by 27 points and you still have a RB playing tonight.

I may still loose my game this week. I'm up by 22 points, but my opponent still has Tony Romo playing tonight, so I don't feel too confident about winning this week.

I'm also pissed that I started Santonio Holmes because I didn't hear he was injured until after kick off.

Well, my week was piss poor in terms of fantasy.

Capt....If I beat you, it'll be more of a miracle than Dallas beating Buffalo last week.

Conisdering I have Plaxico still going tonight, and he is one of Eli's main targets...... Your team has it's work cut out for it.

Good luck

Thanks Ken.... I'll assume you meant that in a good way

Yep, Brady is pretty amazing this year ;D

I'm down 16 with Harrison (hope he actually plays) and Addai going tonight. My opponent still has his QB (Garrard) playing. I expect to lose... again.

They should just give Tom Brady the MVP trophy right now. While they are at it, they should start on his bust for the Hall of Fame. :o

hydrobond, you would have won if two of your starting line up players had not been on bye week. :P

Buffalo Boozers may win if the questionable Travis Henry can score 35 points tonight. :-\

My Washington defense got -1 point against the pats.

Sorry to end my 4 game slide on you like that...

Still have McGahee, too. You still have your kicker.... :P

Tom Brady having a bye week is the only chance I have of winning this upcoming week. First place is on the line again this week. I believe it will be a close matchup. Both teams projected points as of right now are 81 points.

Best of luck to you. ;D

LOL!

I got my ass kicked this week.

Doesn't really matter, as Brady will be back next week, and we have "play=offs" coming up.

I believe I lost this week, but clinched my play-off spot. Tom Brady went off yet again, but T.O. hooked up my oppenent big time.

I clinched my play-off spot too. The rest of my matchups don't look good for me.

I need to win this week. Only 2 weeks left to grab that last playoff spot.

Play-offs start this week. Make sure to set your rosters ;)

Looks like I finished in first place....  (as far as the "regular season goes)

Good luck to everybody who made it in.

Wow, I made it into the playoffs, I thought I was cursed after Delhomme went on the IR. 6th seed is better than no seed.

Post by: den68 on December 04, 2007, 03:14:25 PM
no seed for me.

Well, I don't see my team winning the league, but I will finish in the top four and that is an improvement from last year.

I think this is my last week of fantasy football. I missed the RFG league playoffs, lost in the first round in my work league, and play the guy with Tom Brady in my keepre league this week. me'thinks I shall be vanquished with ease.

At least you guys got to the playoffs :(

Well..... Good luck to those of you left.

Brady did enough for the Pats to win this last week, but he did nothing fantasywise... I guess extreme cold is enough to keep planes on the ground as well as the Patriots pass attack.

that helped me advance in my keeper league. I was shocked but pleased.
