Title: Simpsons Movie Post by: Shimra on July 27, 2007, 01:55:54 AM Just got back from the midnight showing and I must say, that movie was hilarious.
The beginning is non stop laughs, then the movie gets somewhat serious, still with some genuinely hilarious moments, and the film never tries to be too serious but still has a message. Anyway, the gags and jokes are incredibly unique such as an advertisement for dancing with the stars in the middle of a scene, and there are so many little jokes throughout the entire movie. No doubt because as already mentioned regardless of who you are, you will laugh more than once as there are a LOT of funny bits to it.

That really really dissapointed me considering he was essentially the main villain of the series.

It was a conscious decision, like it was so bad I would rather be sleeping than seeing how it turned out.
The Simpsons jumped the shark years ago. The movie is essentially a 2 hour episode of the show, and the half hour episodes don't keep my interest anymore. Why would I want to sit there even longer? P.S. Live Free or Die Hard was the shizzle, but not as good as 1 and 3. Title: Re: Simpsons Movie Post by: James on February 01, 2008, 01:55:58 PM I watched it last night. All I remember is a big dome and naked Bart. Not brilliant but it was as amusing as a normal episode... read into that what you will. I only chuckled a few times but then I'm not a very vocal person. The DVD could definitely have done with more extras. All it had were some 30 second skits and some Simpsons trailers.
