Title: Laser Discs Post by: NES_Rules on July 06, 2007, 09:11:10 PM I picked up some laser discs today (first time I've seen one since 7th grade) at a garage sale. I don't know much about them and have no way to watch them, but the price was right; $1 for them all.
Anyway, I got; Mortal Kombat Rapid Fire Star Trek II Star Trek Generations Star Trek III In The Army Now Demolition Man Beyond The Minds Eye The Crow Independence Day Anyone collect these or know what they're worth? Title: Re: Laser Discs Post by: Tynstar on July 06, 2007, 11:52:26 PM I have some. I am not sur ewhat yours are worth. Izert101 might want the MK one if you want to sell it.
Title: Re: Laser Discs Post by: OatBob on July 07, 2007, 02:38:25 AM I picked up some CED Videodisc (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CED_Videodisc)s at a garage sale, $2 for the lot. These things weigh a ton, and I've realized I don't wanna dish out the money for a player.
Anyways, here's what I found... The Bette Midler Show Ghostbusters The Great Escape (2 discs) The Hunchback of Notre Dame An Officer and a Gentlemen (2 discs) The Quiet Man (2 discs) Rocky Rocky II Rocky III Romancing the Stone Seven Brides for Seven Brothers Some Like it Hot The Witness some good, some bad movies, rapid deterioration after playback... RCA themselves estimated some 500 viewings until they're unplayable, compared to a "reasonable amount" (1000 or more) Title: Re: Laser Discs Post by: Izret101 on July 08, 2007, 04:00:04 AM I have some. If it is in good condition and your willing to go at cheaper than eBay prices(basically shipping only...) i'll take it off your hands :) From what i have seen though LDs seem to be collectable only for certain titles. Much like all media formats :-/ Title: Re: Laser Discs Post by: NES_Rules on July 08, 2007, 12:36:25 PM I have some. I am not sur ewhat yours are worth.
