Title: WaterMark
Post by: Alabama-Shrimp on July 02, 2007, 01:20:08 PM
don't know if this is the right section or if it should be in think tank so please move it if its wrong.

Anyway i have been looking at a few of the images on the site lately, thing is they aren't that big and sat right on top of them sometimes bocking any text is a giant red watermark, I know the site needs to copywrite its images but the one in use now looks a bit cheap and big.

Could it not be redesigned so that although its obvious its a lot less conspicuous?

The giant red watermark is supposed to resize according to the image size. Additionally, this watermark is generated via PHP, and is not actually on the images.

Unfortunately, I can't code something that magically finds text and places the watermark elsewhere. I wish I could, but I can't. However, after I finish with my current project I will look into image transparency using the GD library. No guarantees there, but perhaps I can get something that looks better.

I just noticed the new watermark.  Looks great.  It's really nice with a bit of transparency to it.

And that one is just a temporary one. Den is making us a new watermark image.

I just totally filled in for TraderJake there.

What Tondog said.

Transparency is here to stay, though.
