Post by: NES_Rules on May 04, 2007, 06:25:49 PM Is there a list that has how images people have submitted? I've submitted 415 (a few more coming in a couple weeks) and I'm curious on how high or low I rank.
Title: Re: Over 40,000 Images! Post by: TraderJake on May 04, 2007, 06:32:55 PM No, but as of the end of March you were in the top 10 in terms of total submissions, with, oddly enough, 415 submissions.
Title: Re: Over 40,000 Images! Post by: NES_Rules on May 04, 2007, 06:54:06 PM Wow, didn't think I would be that high. I would submit more, but I just don't have anymore games. Except for the last couple games I've purchased everything I own is already in the database.

Title: Re: Over 40,000 Images! Post by: Fuyukaze on May 07, 2007, 05:36:02 PM I know my submisions has droped drasticly the past number of months. Basicly I ran out of games from my personal collection to submit and am trying to figure out a way to get screenshots. Problem is, I cant figure out a way to get decent looking ones that are large enough to fit with the 550 size.
So far the best I can get is stuff like this..... http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f92/FuyukazeFK/NHL94_5.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f92/FuyukazeFK/NewmanHaasIndycar1.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f92/FuyukazeFK/MsPacMan_1-1.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f92/FuyukazeFK/mortalkombat3_1.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f92/FuyukazeFK/doomtroopers_1-1.jpg I guess they'd work, but they feel too blury for me. Title: Re: Over 40,000 Images! Post by: Tynstar on May 07, 2007, 05:50:35 PM Screen shots don't need to be 550 pixels. Keith can help you more then I can.
Title: Re: Over 40,000 Images! Post by: Tan on May 07, 2007, 06:48:22 PM I use Easy Thumbnails to make all my screens 550 wide unless the emulator I'm using makes them 550 or smaller.

That's what I use as well for game scans. Problem is the capture device I use does them small. Also, they look blury as ever. If they look fine then I'll just run with those but they still dont look right to me.Title: Re: Over 40,000 Images! Post by: Tynstar on May 08, 2007, 02:15:48 AM Easy Thumbnails can make stuff bigger as well.
Title: Re: Over 40,000 Images! Post by: Belgarath on May 08, 2007, 05:06:26 AM Personally I strongly believe all screenshots should be taken in their native resolution (or close to) enlarging screenshots, or using graphic filters is just plain wrong in my opinion.

I agree. At the same time there are so many variables like scanlines, comb filters, brightness, contrast, resolutions etc for different TV's. Myself I use 640x480, no filters or scanlines with the gamma turned up just a tad, makes for good screens. ;) |
