edit: I'm not mistaken, it is. And LA is huge indeed, these are some pretty cool pictures. Not all of these are correct though. Just look at Berlin. He puts in all cities around it as well. But it is more than just Randstatd, it is Amsterdam too, as far as I know.

South holland, the lower part of north holland Utrecht and a bit of Noord Brabant (those are all provinces). So it includes Amsterdam, but also Rotterdam, the Hague, Utrecht (the city) etc. etc.
