But, after 16 years of waiting and we FINALLY get a Mario and Sonic game, is it a platformer? No. A fighter? Nah. It's freaking "At the Olympics".

I think it could be a good game if it's executed correctly. Hopefully it isn't just using Mario and Sonic as a quick money grabbing technique. The other thing that I find insteresting about this is that I can't think of any other officially licensed Olympics game that has come out exclusively on one console and one handheld.
