Title: this is funny Post by: two_scoop_steve on March 30, 2007, 08:36:51 PM Okay, so I was really baked.. and this kid who always calls me telling me random stupid/cool/funny stuff. calls me up..
he tells me to go to google maps and type in 'Chicago to London' in the search bar. So I do it, and i'm like "Okay" and he says go down to step 20, and tell me that's not the most rediculous thing in the world. Fucking priceless. Title: Re: this is funny Post by: Tan on March 30, 2007, 09:53:17 PM Fucking priceless. I'll second that  Title: Re: this is funny Post by: Zimbacca on March 30, 2007, 10:35:05 PM It also works if you type 'London to Chicago'
Title: Re: this is funny Post by: Ando on March 30, 2007, 10:45:28 PM I figured it had to say something odd (I mean, you're only going across and entire ocean). Wasn't expecting THAT, though.
Hysterical. Title: Re: this is funny Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on March 30, 2007, 11:39:06 PM Says it for any European destination.
Title: Re: this is funny Post by: Tondog on March 31, 2007, 10:21:39 AM That's hilarious. I wonder how long they estimate that to take.
Title: Re: this is funny Post by: Hydrobond on March 31, 2007, 01:07:05 PM That's hilarious. I wonder how long they estimate that to take. 29 days 1 hour. Which means they estimate a person can swim non-stop at 4.967 mph. ((3462 / (29*24 +1)) mph) Using the world record time in the 200m freestyle (1:43.86s), I came up with the number 4.3242534 mph as just about as fast as anyone can go in water. The two matched pretty closely, so I'm guessing that Google just used the 50m world record time. Close as I could get it: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=long+wharf+boston,+MA&daddr=Avenue+Lucien+Corbeaux,+france&layer=&sll=49.48413,0.115485&sspn=0.009925,0.019956&ie=UTF8&om=1&z=4&ll=50.176898,-25.488281&spn=40.344161,81.738281 Title: Re: this is funny Post by: ganonbanned on March 31, 2007, 03:23:52 PM thanks for the directions!
Title: Re: this is funny Post by: Tondog on March 31, 2007, 03:25:15 PM I saw the estimation of how long the whole trip takes, but I mean how long the swimming portion takes.
