Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Ghost Soldier on September 30, 2008, 08:26:50 AM ^ Do we wanna know where it is ? 8-)
Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Beardcore84 on September 30, 2008, 09:29:22 AM ha. yes, mario is with me forever now. I am aware.
it is on my right upper arm. near the shoulder so its covered by a sleeve. it is about the exact same size as the actual SMB3 box art. I am probably going to get the 7 koopa kids and bowser surrounding him. eventually. hurts though. :) Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: blcklblskt on September 30, 2008, 09:38:05 AM ha. yes, mario is with me forever now. I don't have a photo yet, but the artwork is a phoenix on my left arm.

Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Izret101 on November 10, 2008, 07:27:24 PM Thanks :)
There are a few spots i want to get touched up. Mostly just to round it out(very bottom for example) And i still haven't decided if i want to add the colored background or not to it... Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: monkees19 on December 08, 2012, 11:19:13 PM My wife just got a one up mushroom put on her ankle. I don't have pics at the moment but it's pretty sweet.
Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Shadow Kisuragi on December 08, 2012, 11:30:56 PM My wife just got a one up mushroom put on her ankle. I don't have pics at the moment but it's pretty sweet. My wife has an Atari logo on her ankle. I've told the story around here before, but she had it done by a vendor at the Flea Market across from one of our normal stops. I had to ask to borrow a Pac-Man Atari cart for the source art. :P Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Zagnorch on December 09, 2012, 12:28:36 AM I've never found tats to be all that attractive, myself. There's also the whole-getting-stabbed-repeatedly-with-an-ink-filled-needle thing. Not only am I deterred by the potential pain, I also get to thinking: where's that needle been before? And just what is in that ink? I've yet to get any reassuring answers to these questions.
The expense is also a turn-off to me. Putting aside the fact that I'm a real cheapass, for the price of some of the work depicted in previous posts, I could add several more games and maybe even a system or two to my collection. I'd much rather put my money down on the actual focus of my hobby than I would advertising it on my person. But the biggest reason I've never considered getting ink is that every effort I have made to look cool or hip has invariably failed. My inherent geekiness is so strong, no tattoo can keep me from looking like I'm trying way too hard to be "with it." Anyhoo, those are some of my thoughts on the subject. I hope I didn't bum you out too much... Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: monkees19 on December 09, 2012, 12:34:58 AM Haha. I can appreciate that. I've toyed with the idea of getting one for quite some time. But between the cost or design something has always kept it from happening. What I'd REALLY like to get done would be the Master Sword done on my back. It would celebrate my love for the series AND would have additional meaning for my son. His name is Lincoln but, of course I call him Link for short so this would allow me to be a nerd AND have meaning in one shot.
Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Izret101 on December 09, 2012, 12:36:24 PM @Zag if you have to ask where has that needle been before i highly suggest you never get a tattoo because you have never been to a clean shop.
Or more likely have never been in a shop before in which case it is worth at least learning about. It is an ancient art form after all :-P Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on December 10, 2012, 03:01:40 AM Oh man I hated that Turbografx dude.

Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: SirPsycho on January 03, 2013, 01:52:57 PM I have one tattoo already on my left tricep.
The next one I'm getting is going to be the Symbol of Torment on my right tri. Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: wildbil52 on January 03, 2013, 01:53:54 PM That's cool, psycho
As of now, I am tattooless. I've been thinking about an origami unicorn, possibly in the rain. Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: bickman2k on January 03, 2013, 02:24:22 PM I think I'll always be one without tattoos.
Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Fleach on January 05, 2013, 01:05:00 AM That's cool, psycho As of now, I am tattooless. I've been thinking about an origami unicorn, possibly in the rain. At first I thought, "cool Heavy Rain related tattoo." Then after some googling I realized it's a Blade Runner thing. I think I'll always be one without tattoos. I know I'll be without them. Why put bumper stickers on a Ferrari, right? Title: Re: tattoo thread Post by: Crabmaster2000 on January 05, 2013, 02:28:03 AM Lol, I thought Heavy Rain first too...... and then remember its Bil :D
