RF Generation Message Board

Anyone up for a league when it opens up again this year? I'd love to run it again, and hopefully not spend most of the year in the toilet.

I've never done a fantasy sports league, but I think that I'd try my hand at it. Assuming, of course, that I can read the rules somewhere. :)

I am going to be really busy to be able to do Fantasy Baseball, but I'll sticky this thread so people know to express interest.

Ok Here is the league info, go ahead and sign up. I'll put the league as a roto league, not head to head so if we have an odd number of players we are ok.

I have it set up for daily change rosters, but can change it to weekly if that's what people would prefer. Thoughts?

so what does everyone think of their teams? I was happy with a few of the guys I got, namely Howard, Berkman and Cano. have to see if I can grab a couple Tigers though.

I logged in to our league, looked at my team for about ten minutes, and came to the conclusion that I have no f@%king idea what I'm doing! I think I'm happy with who I have. I really don't know what I'm doing at this time. It will take me a week or more to get a hold of what I'm doing. Once I know what is going on everything will be good.

I kinda hate the setup this year...not gonna lie.  I'm not even bothering to do much.

This is my first time playing fantasy baseball. So I don't know what last years setup was like. I'm enjoying it so far, maybe because I have been in the top three every week. If my team slips down into 7th or 8th place I may not enjoy it as much. We will see. It's still early in the season.

I don't enjoy it because last year we did the "matchup" system.  Kinda like we did in Football where we play against one person a week.  Made for better competition.

Last time I did this type (in basketball), if you weren't in the top 2 or 3 spots mid-season, you couldn't make up any ground at all.

I'm still trying to figure out how we get points. although Mark Beurhle threw a no-hitter last night and I jumped up a few spots.

I think the "matchup" system would be more fun. Next season we will have to set it up that way.

I'm in first today,by one point. I look at my team 3-4 times a week, but still don't know what I'm doing. I'm just trying not to slip into last place and I'm waiting for fantasy football season.

i'm still hanging in 1st place, yesterday shaggy's team dropped to 3rd but today he's in 2nd.

moved back up to 4th today. seems like half my team is on the DL.

Is it fantasy football time yet?

So I started my fantasy baseball season in first place. Then I traded my good players, because I don't know what I'm doing. I have been in 6th and 7th place for a month now, so I decided to get some new players. Now I have dropped to 8th place. I'm hopeless at fantasy baseball, please wake me up when fantasy football starts.

BTW Brew Crew Junkie is me, the guy who started it but shows up to the boards like 1 time every month or two. I don't know how but I have been in place for a few days now. There are teams really close behind!!

Here's how we get points in a roto league.

There are 9 teams in our league. If you are in first place for HR for the  year you get 9 points. If you are in last you get 1 pt. It adds up all categories like this giving you your total points. If you check above the league standings it has a link for full standings and it gives this information in much more detail. Check it out!!

i'm like 10 points behind first place and a few behind den, this league is starting to get good.

we have a TIGHT 3 way battle for first right now. I've been flopping back and forth with Brew Crew Junkies for a few weeks. The Skeezy Scoops are now back in the mix. as of this morning a point and a half separated first from third.

Damn, I can't obtain that 3rd spot.  So close.  I thought we play playoffs in this league?

we did rotisserie style this year. there's no playoffs. and you should get 3rd soon my team has been fading the past couple weeks.

Looks like I'll take 1st this year, unlike my stupid Brewers!

Man, I was so close to 3rd place and than in one day Den got like 7+ points or some shit.  As for the lovely Brewers, they don't deserve to go.  They fucked it up.  The Cubs are even giving us the Central Division and we still suck.  Ned Yost fucked up the season for us.

Well, I ultmately lost 3rd place by 6 points.  Den got 3rd, NES Junkie got 1st, and I believe two scoop steve got 2nd.
